The owner is very cool & keeps the place clean & organized. Over the years of going there, the poutine has been made fresh & the drinks are cold. The regulars to the place have been very kind & are decently social. If you want to be left alone, they'll leave you alone, if you want to be social, they will socialize with you. That says a lot to me.

My friend & I were in town for a couple of nights & Solaris was near our hotel. The first night, we stopped in for drinks & dinner. The salads were amazing & our server, Neah, was fantastic! We enjoyed it so much that we returned the second night to another great experience with a bonus of a hockey game on every screen & a room full of some of the friendliest people (staff & patrons) we met on our 3-week road trip.

We have been coming here for a while but really started to come for the hockey games. The owners & staff are amazing. We are welcomed & can always count on them to provide an amazing & cheap place to watch a game or simply come & have a drink.

The food is made by a handful of talented cooks & rivals big sports bars . We enjoy the servers & Joan Meeah & others are fast & always there to make sure our glasses never stay empty.

Habs playoff games have been amazing here & they routinely hand out bells, towels & other fun shit with the Habs logo.

Always a great time here.

Food portion sizes are amazing! I had a chicken cesar salad & honesty i had about a whole chicken breast sliced finely & so favorable.
The amaretto sour is to die for.

Anineah she's the best & knows my order & has my drink ready by the time I sit.

Having a little place to chill for a tiny bit while traveling for work to enjoy a game & some good food & drinks was great.

Definitely recommend heading this direction next time you're in the area. Great prices & great atmosphere. It can get loud!

One of my favorite spots! The staff are very friendly & put care into making sure you enjoy your stay & your meal. The food is excellent & they have a descent selection of drinks. Make sure you buy some of their in house made hot sauce, it's excellent. A hidden gem.

Third visit.

Went to check out the breakfast early this morning, good breakfast menu but the regular menu is even better. Had an all dressed pizza & an americano coffee, both were excellent! Roberto took our orders & provided great service all the way through.

The prices are pretty amazing for quantity of food & drink. Everything is priced like it's 2016. (Take advantage now before Roberto wises up. 🤣)

Highly recommend giving this place a chance, try the menu for take out or sit down, poutines are authentic & delicious.

Personal note; I am surprised at the (few) bad reviews because despite the gambling machines everything from food quality & cleanliness to service speed & accuracy are well above par for not just the neighborhood but for the city of Montréal itself. On all three visits it was consistently good, clean & delicious.

To the students who were angered at having to tip; if you don't have the ability to tip at least 15% for good service then please don't go to a table service restaurant. Servers & bartenders of all types have different pay structures & depend heavily upon tips to supplement their lower hourly wage.

If you find the service so bad that you don't want to tip, fine, speak to the owner/manager &/or post a review. Otherwise expect to tip well for good service.
