We recently visited this restaurant & unfortunately the experience was disappointing from start to finish.
When we arrived with my partner, we were seated in an area we didn't want. We politely asked if it would be possible to move to another table if one became available, & mentioned we were happy to sit at the bar & have a drink or two while waiting. From that moment, the staff started acting passive-aggressive & visibly annoyed, as if we were asking for something unreasonable.
While seated, we actually had to call for them multiple times, & they seemed to do their absolute best to avoid eye contact with us - which was honestly a bit funny, but also frustrating. The server took our order, but you could clearly feel the irritation the whole time & she wasn't focused.
When our food arrived, there was a mistake: we ordered chicken but were served beef, which we cannot eat. At that point we were already frustrated, so we told them to just take it back, paid, & left.
Overall, the staff did not feel solution-oriented at all & made simple requests seem like a challenge. The food itself was very average, nothing special. Sadly, I wouldn't recommend going here based on this experience. This was on Valentine's Day…
I am a regular at Shushu. The sushi is delicious & of high quality. The service is friendly & efficient & the place on Notre Dame is cute. This is one of my favourite sushi restaurants.
Flavours were alright! Nice restaurant to eat slowly with friends. Unfortunately we might have been unlucky because the service did not do justice for the lively place. I understand that friday nights can get pretty busy but the food took over 30min to arrive & our waitress barely ever checked up on us (we only got our water filled a second time before we were leaving! 😓). Not to mention that we waited for quite long for her to come & take our orders at the beginning. & it took another 10min to just wait for the bill. As a waitress myself I found it hard to even want to tip yesterday night because of how disappointing the service was. I hope future customers don't have to go what we went through :(
les martinis n'etaient pas très bons. il y avait beaucoup de saumure/jus d'olive dedans.
Les nigiris avaient très peu de goût.

Quelle belle surprise! J'y suis allé un peu au hasard avant un concert. Le service est très efficace & courtois. La nourriture est absolument délicieuse!
J'ai pris la soupe Tom Youm (meilleure soupe qur j'ai mangé depuis très longtemps) & le Khao Soi au boeuf qui était vraiment savoureux.
Je recommande fortement cet endroit. J'y retournerai assurément.
What a great place we stumbled upon before Sunday show at a theatre nearby. The food was a fusion of Japanese & Thai the cocktails were delicious & exquisitely garnished. The staff was pleasant & relaxed the service was slow which we enjoyed, not feeling rushed felt like luxury. The portions were very generous & the presentation unique & delightful! Great feast highly recommend

Très peu authentique, curry extrêmement gras (piscine d'huile littéralement). Je ne recommande pas du tout, & il y a de meilleures alternatives dans la rue !
Everything was amazing, except for the music which ruined the experience.
This is the second time I've been, & the experience of all the guests that have been there with me: the loud muzak ruins it.
