Le Sho-Dan est devenu notre incontournable pour célébrer les anniversaires de nos filles depuis qu'elles ont 8 & 10 ans. Vendredi dernier, nous y avons fêté les 15 ans de notre aînée, & comme toujours, l'expérience a été tout simplement magique.
Nous avons choisi de nous laisser tenter uniquement par les sushis spécialités, & chaque bouchée était un ravissement pour les papilles. Mention spéciale au sushi Cancún, le favori du propriétaire Roméo, qui nous a totalement conquis avec ses saveurs uniques & parfaitement équilibrées.
Mais au-delà de la qualité exceptionnelle des plats, c'est l'attention & la gentillesse du personnel qui rendent chaque visite si mémorable. Tout au long de la soirée, nous avons été choyés par un service impeccable & chaleureux, qui a ajouté une touche encore plus spéciale à cette célébration.

First time in shodan for lunch. We have ordered the sushi plate for 2 & added a sushi pizza. I believe if we will be just full only have sushi plate for 2.adding pizza we r too full. The fish are so fresh! However I find the rice is abit too soft & doesn't taste enough vinegar. Thus 4/5 for the food. Service is good, atmosphere is good. Will come back & try the dinner menue, heard the specialty rolls are good too. Sushi pizza is covered by smoked salmon. Find the rice is not crispy enough or maybe too thin to taste the crispness.View more

Perfect for a first date in my opinion if he or she loves sushi, cause I loved it 5 years ago when my now husband brought me there ;) & it's always nice to go back now. The sushi & sashimi are very good. Tempura & black cod are okay but not remarkable. Overall, the food is good, & price is not bad. The sushi & sashimi platters are excellent. Service is prompt. The restaurant seems very clean, & it's nice that they have a pianist playing soft music in the background. Very busy place, so I would recommend making a reservation.View more

Sho-Dan, in my opinion, offers some of, if not the best, sushi in the city. This is a place highly frequented for business lunches & for good reason. The quality of the fish is always incredibly fresh & the rolls are expertly prepared. They offer very unique types of rolls which avoid the use of cheap fillers like tempura & spicy mayo, & you consistently get excellent cuts of fish. I highly recommend every roll I've tried on the menu (which by now is almost everything), but I have to say that the lawyer is my favourite, a very unique roll. This is not your traditional Japanese sushi dining experience (ie. This is not a place that focuses on sashimi & basic maki rolls, although they can be ordered), but the specialty rolls are truly out of this world & justify their price. Highly recommend this place for a nice sushi experience. I've been here for dinner & lunch & had excellent experiences for both services.View more

Once inside Sho-Dan, I found myself underwhelmed by the overall atmosphere. The décor lacks character, with plain white tablecloths & a lack of any distinctive features. Instead of exuding a sushi restaurant ambiance, it feels more like an upscale Italian establishment catering to an older demographic. Unfortunately, my initial impression fell short of excitement. However, my disappointment took a turn when we decided to sample a variety of items from the menu. The sushi exceeded expectations, boasting a delightful freshness & appealing presentation. Accompanied by flavorful sauces, the culinary experience was elevated. The house drinks were also noteworthy, adding a positive note to our dining experience. While the staff exhibited kindness, there was a slight lack of enthusiasm, though the service remained decent. In conclusion, it's a venue worth considering if you're seeking exceptionally good sushi. The culinary delights outweigh the lackluster ambiance, making it a destination for sushi enthusiasts.View more
