We arrived early so it was quiet but music would have been nice while we were there. They closed the the walls on the terrace a little early for me. I would have liked to see out a little longer since it wasn't cold. & loved the fire being lit. But wish it was lit sooner.
Service was great. I understand it's a business making money but would have appreciated the person asking about cost before recommending wines & offering flat or sparkling water. We didn't really need a whole bottle of sparkling water. Not everywhere charges for that & she just kept refilling our glass so after we saw the bottle on our table we just assumed we would have to Pay for sparkling water.
Lastly would love more affordable drink options. Would have had more to drink.
Not authentic at all, pretty pricey, the hash is like frozen tater tots.
The “foul” is like a million different beans & has all the wrong spices. Most middle easterners do fava so I don’t know why there were kidney beans in it. Only dish that was excessively huge.
Olive oil on the hummus was nice.
Shawarma Benedict was nice, but it doesn’t come with sides or anything? No potatoes or salad. Weird for that price.Voir plus
Shay was able to accommodate our group of 8 people at short notice. The server was fantastic as was the group menu. Everyone had a great time.
everything was perfect, but the music was way too loud & made conversation very difficult!
Amazing food. The server was wonderful & the food incredible
I ordered the cod & it wasn't good. Also the waitress brought my husband his food first & he was finished by the time I got my food. The salad hummus & brussel sprouts were delicious. But the cod was not it was floating in butter. & the Armenian Kevin the waitress said it was beef but failed to tell us it was minced beef.
Service was an absolute abomination. Would not return & would actively advise others not to go.
We have been coming to Shay since its opening & have always loved it. This time was different. We wondered if there was a new chef & asked the server. When she asked us why we were wondering, we explained that the food tasted different. We even told her that one of the dishes we ordered was very oily (the roasted broccoli) & would to eat it. She took it away without asking if we wanted to substitute it. We were hoping not be to charged for it but it was on the bill. She confirmed that there was a new chef in the kitchen, & informed the manager of our comments, but he did not seem concerned. Even the music that we usually love & creates a cool ambiance was not the same. The owner usually greets us warmly & exchanges a few words with us when we come, but he was unfortunate not there that evening. Overall, a disappointing experience at a place we used to love. We will not be coming again.
Every dish was incredible, my parents were vegan & were blown away.
Excellente nourriture. Belle terrasse (mais guêpes agressives... ont piqué mon épouse). Service courtois & enthousiaste, mais parfois légèrement envahissant. Rien de grave, on a beaucoup aimé dans l'ensemble & on y retournera.
Food was amazing, service was terrible. They completely forgot my order & I had to wait twice as long for my food when everyone else I was with had already finished eating.
Waiters rushed everything, ruined the experience when we were eating & they kept trying to take our plates & glasses away. Great food but not great service.
I had the pleasure of trying the most delicious shakshuka at this place. The flavors were absolutely incredible, & every bite was a burst of savory goodness. I can't wait to go back for more!Voir plus
