In an attempt to better understand the quality & taste of Arabic Food in Montreal, I decided to give it a shot. Here is my professional review: Starting with the chicken shawarma wrap on Saj bread: this is a legitimate chicken shawarma. I had it the original way with only garlic sauce & cucumber pickles. I enjoyed this sandwich & will give it a rating of 8/10. This could have been like any chicken shawarma I have in the Middle East . Next was the beef shawarma wrap. I had it on Saj bread the original way. With only tomatoes, onions, parsley, cucumber pickles, sumac & tahini sauce. The over all taste was good. But the beef lacked that shawarma flavor. Overall I give the beef wrap a score of 5/10. It's clean & fresh but lacks the flavor . Finally, I tried the falafel wrap on Arabic bread "pita bread". This was disappointing. I had it the original way with only tomatoes, parsley, 2 kinds of pickles & tahini sauce. The major issue is that the falafel itself was not right. The texture is not correct. The frying is not correct. It was doughy & lacked the crunch. The falafel wrap was a fail. I give it 0/10. The falafel recipe needs re construction. Hi I have always came here to order beef or chicken poutine & I really liked it before. Today orderd a beef Poutine in this store & I found it different with the previous times. I think the quality of the meet was much better before. After they moved to the new place I feel the quality of the meet in poutine decreased a lot & even the taste is different now!!!! I have been eating at this place since they started. Good food & fast service. However at their new place on Saint Catherine the cashier was new & made a mistake & the food was just lying there & no one was putting it on the grill. I had to go ask them to do so directly. They blamed the rush but I guess they are just figuring out how to manage the new line.Voir plus
