Hidden gem with authentic Shanghai flavours. Would recommend the scallion noodles (soy) & the beef pan fried dumplings. All of it was delicious. The spring rolls are very mushroom forward so if you don't like mushrooms, I'd skip it. Great service. Friendly staff & the food arrives nice & hot!!
A surprise find walking distance from Atwater subway station. Taste authentic Shanghai dumplings. Highly recommended
Authentic & delicious xiaolongbao! The dumpling skins are thin, the filling is generous, & every bite is juicy. Definitely tastes much better when dining in compared to takeout. I also tried the crab meat xiaolongbao this time, which isn't available on Uber Eats - it had a nice, distinct crab flavor. The side dishes are also very good, mostly on the sweet side, just like in Shanghai. Only downside was it was pretty noisy inside, was hard to talk
Definitely authentic Shanghai cuisine base in Montreal!! Excellent service & high quality food. Must try if you come to Montreal.
🌟 **Cuisine de Shanghai - A Hidden Gem for Authentic Vegetarian Chinese Cuisine!** 🌟
What a **cute little tucked-away treasure** this place is! Cuisine de Shanghai serves up truly **authentic Shanghai-style Chinese food**, & I can confidently say I had the **best vegetarian Chinese meal of my life** here.
I started with the **lentil & mushroom steamed dumplings**, & wow - they arrived piping hot (so hot I nearly burnt my tongue, but absolutely worth it!). The dumpling skin was delicate yet firm, & the filling was deeply flavorful, earthy, & comforting.
Next up: the **Buddha Bowl** - a stunning medley of perfectly steamed veggies & noodles, artfully sprinkled with sesame seeds. The **subtle smoky flavor** running through the bowl elevated it to something special. Every bite was balanced, fresh, & full of umami.
The **service was lovely** - warm, attentive, & thoughtful. I even had the chance to meet the **chef** & personally compliment them before leaving. You can truly feel the passion in every dish.
Whether you're vegetarian or not, this place is a **must-visit for anyone who appreciates thoughtfully crafted, soulful Chinese food**.
it's giving authentic dumpling spot. hole in the wall serving cheap & delicious dumplings. we got takeout in a sunday night - 6 pork & 6 vegetable shiitake. so so good & hit the spot. the staff is super friendly & the aesthetic is on brand. i would go back & try many more of their dishes. great for a casual dinner or a dinner with a bunch of friends.
Authentic Food from Shanghai. Excellent peanut veggie dumpling. Efficient & pleasant service
FuChun is a culinary delight, renowned for its expertly crafted xiaolongbao that burst with rich, savory broth & tender meat. The menu features a variety of authentic Shanghainese dishes, each prepared with precision & high-quality ingredients. The elegant, inviting atmosphere & attentive, friendly service enhance the dining experience. Perfect for both locals & visitors, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking an unforgettable taste of Shanghai's traditional cuisine.
extremely authentic soup dumplings, coming from both my grandparents who ate with us here & approved of them. they even thought the dumplings were even better than some places back in China! very juicy, delicately handmade soup dumplings. the wontons were also really delicious. it is a bit crowded in the tiny restaurant, & there was a 10-15 minute wait time.
I finally tried Fu chun Montreal for the first time. First things first: those who did mention that the taste, here, is more authentic Asian that Americanized Chinese (by Montreal Chinese restaurant standards) were right, & that is, of course, a great thing. That Fu chun was great at doing dumplings was not a surprise (indeed, they have some of the finest dumplings in Montreal, right now) as that is what they are known for, obviously, but what surprised me is that their non-dumpling food items are really well made for a Chinese restaurant in Montreal (for eg, Shanghai Style Soy Sauce Noodle, the Spring rolls , the Steamed chicken in Szechuan chili sauce, etc... were all better than what most of their competitors are pulling off, in Montreal, right now). Easily one of the better Chinese restaurants in Montreal (not just one of the best dumplings in town). & the service is good, too. The food is actually affordable (relatively to what you get & pay for in Montreal, these days). I am happily adding Fu chun to my go-to restaurants in Montreal. As long as Fu chun keeps their good standards, I'll keep going back with the same beautiful smile of happiness that was on my face when I finished this meal. Long live Fu chun!
Totally delicious noodles & dumplings. Very authentic taste: loved the little crumbled Orion's on top of my veggie noodles! Excellent & sans prétention, goût vraiment « fait maison ». A refaire!
My new favourite soup dumplings in Montreal. A friend from China said that this is the most authentic Chinese food in Montreal. The pork Xiao long bao was amazing. I preferred it to the shrimp & pork. Small-ish restaurant but we got a seat on a Tuesday night. Slow-ish service, but very nice. $32 (including tax & tip) for 18 dumplings, which was enough for 2 of us
Dumplings are great & totally authentic. I also got the scallion oil noodles. Wished that there was a bit more taste to the scallion oil so added some soy sauce & hot sauce. I came for lunch & they had a few deals with & without soup. The place is clean & air conditioner for the summer. It's a peaceful spot to have lunch off the Rue St Catherine strip. The wait staff are pleasant, multilingual, & efficient.
