It was the best spot for Indian dine in
Start with their soups & appetizers & Chinese it was fabulous experience
Their karnataka style donne was really good, Very soft & sooting
Dessert was fantastic starting with milk pudding & shai tukda
Would recommend very well
They have so many veg options also
It felt like an Indian cooking Netflix show in there. Food was insane. Highly recommend lollipop chicken drums, it's the best fried chicken in town. Warning thought it's very complicated when the whole order is not shared with everyone.
Best Indian food in town. Chilli onion naan , kshatriya kebab, shahi thukda , Junnu are the best out of the dishes we tasted today. Mandi & Zafrani mutton Biryani are must try.
The food was insanely good especially considering the low price the place gave a good Indian vibe & the waitress Sunny was very welcoming & she was looking after us during our service. Very good service & good waitress. I recommend !
Guy, if you want to experience Indian food in Montreal you have to visit this place. Their Indo-Chinese is amazing & their mandi is great! Try their dragon chicken if you like spicy food!! Good food good service. Will visit again for sure!
The food is very delicious. One of the best indian restaurants in Montreal. The only negative thing I want to add: last time I went & ordered noodles & found a hair in it. Other than that, the food is very good. Everything tastes amazing.
We arrived at 9:30 PM & were informed that we would need to wait. At that time, we were unaware that the estimated waiting period would be approximately one hour. However, it became evident that there was ample space available on the upper level. After 10:30 PM, the upstairs area was opened, allowing all patrons to enter. The initial one-hour wait for entry seemed unreasonable given the circumstances.
Once we were seated, it took an additional 15 minutes for our orders to be taken. I inquired as to why the upstairs was not opened sooner, to which they responded that only two staff members were available, despite the presence of numerous employees. When I requested water, I was informed that my colleague was filling it & would bring it shortly. After another 15 minutes without water, it was finally provided.
Upon receiving our food, one of the dishes was contaminated. I brought this to their attention, & they suggested I order something else. I insisted on receiving a replacement for the dish I had originally ordered. They assured me that there would be no additional charge for the new dish. However, when the bill arrived, I noticed that I was charged for the contaminated dish, while the replacement, which was not to my liking, was not charged.
Throughout this experience, I sensed a lack of supervision or management oversight. Given the significant investment made in the establishment, it would be prudent to have a designated individual to oversee operations & guide the staff. Additionally, many of the dishes were excessively spicy & oily. I tried the Mandi Alfahm, which did not resemble the traditional Arabic recipe. Furthermore, the prices were considerably higher compared to Indian restaurants in Montreal.
They made alterations to a well-known portrait, which are not favorable.
Flavors of the food were very good but some of the portions were really small. We wanted mutton Rara but it wasn't available. We also asked for hot peppers or Indian pickles on the side & that was not available. Dishes weren't served with any serving spoons & we were told to use our personal spoons. Service was terrible, the staff seemed untrained. On arrival it took the two servers over 5m to come greet us, they were just looking at us & there was only one table in the restaurant. Watching them clear & reset that table when they left gave me a headache as it looked like the person had never done that before. The table we were sat at was also was not cleaned properly & when we were finished after asking for our bill twice the table was never cleared.
I went there with a group of friends & it was phenominal. I've always been hesitant to try out Indian food in restaurants because they hardly ever compare to the homemade stuff but, this blew my expectations out of the water. We ordered a massive platter to share between the 4 of us. It was the first time I had Indo-Chinese food & it made me became an instant fan. I highly recommend their lollipop chicken & the chicken manchurian. The service was very courteous & welcoming as well. No matter how much I try I can't find a single nitpick.
It's my fourth time that I eat there & it's always the same tasty food & good service I love the Indian food & I think that it's the best restaurant that can a non Indian person like me discover the real traditional food of this amazing country ❤️thanks a lot
Amazing Indian restaurant in Montreal. Warm welcome, excellent service & delicious food. I had the butter chicken & I 100% recommend it. A place not to miss !
Very delicious & authentic indian food. Will definitely come back again. Great portion size.
Just like the food from back home or even better, especially if you're from a South Indian household. Second time visiting the place & definitely coming back. The menu is huge, lots of options & flavours to try from. The service is great, fast. The chef & the waiters/waitresses are always available & ready to help. The items are exactly as described in the menu & so are the spice levels, but different & more authentic than the other places around. So, spending time enquiring about the items, their spice levels will definitely help.
Best Hyderabadi Style Authentic Zafrani Dum Biryani in Montreal. & Awesome service!! If you're a fan of Indian cuisine, this place is a must-visit!
Honestly some of the best tasting indian food I've ever tasted. I highly recommend it.
I went there 3 times & was never disappointed. They made me love Indian food. The waitress, Aarushi, was adorable & gave us so good advices. It was formidable. Félicitation to the cook!
Sha'az Indian Cuisine serves delicious, flavorful food that's worth the price. Although it took about 30 minutes to get our food due to the crowd, the cozy atmosphere & lovely wall art made the wait enjoyable.
