My friend & I meet monthly to catch up on life, & this time we chose a cozy Laotian restaurant in Montreal-& what a treat it was! The menu is affordably priced, which made it easy (& fun) for us to try nearly everything: all the entrées & almost all the hot dishes. Each plate was beautifully presented & bursting with flavor-there's something uniquely comforting about Laotian cuisine that sets it apart from other Southeast Asian fare. It felt almost homemade, in the best way possible.
We sat at a tiny two-person table by the window with elegant high chairs-cozy, charming, & perfect for a long, relaxed dinner. & yes, we took our time! The bring-your-own-wine policy was a bonus, & the place had a really friendly, happy atmosphere. Everyone-from the staff to the guests-seemed genuinely glad to be there.
Pro tip: Make a reservation! The restaurant may look small at first glance, but there's a whole second section in the back. Still, if you're a party of two or three, I highly recommend asking for a seat in the front section-it's where the charm really shines, in my opinion.
I'd go back in a heartbeat. Honestly, not a single complaint from start to finish.View more
We were a group of four & had the degustation menu. The food was delicious, except the chicken salad. It was the only item that was disappointing, either we got a bad one or it's just too plain. The beef brochettes were exceptional. The service was great once it started, the first 30 minutes we had had someone open our wine bottle & then nothing for a bit too long.View more
Loved the food! Has so many different dishes you can get & share. Some classics but are still made differently or have a different twist. Cute spot, bring your own wine, can't go wrong!View more
Absolutely awesome place! Terrace is fantastic, looks absolutely dreamy with lights in the evening & they even provide blankets so you don't feel cold. You can bring your own wine too. Food was top notch, such beautiful plates for only 20$, you'd think you are at the fancy place with $$$. Atmosphere was just surreal, SO romantic, perfect place for a date or just a meal you'll never forget.View more
This place is a gem! It's my second time here in the last month, & I'll go back before I leave for sure! The food is incredible, the service is outstanding, the prices are decent, the place looks beautiful (especially the terrace in the back) & it's a bring your own wine. The hostess, Elsa, was so welcoming & caring. She even brought us blankets in case we were cold at the terrace because it was a cold evening. If you are not sure what to order, they have a tasting menu with many different items & the quantities are perfect. I also strongly recommend the Khao Poon, the meatballs & the calamari!View more
Good service & good food overall. The place is not very big , but it is nice. Is a BYOW / BYOB ( bring your own wine ) restaurant. Prices are decent as well, not expensive. Dishes are small & can be easily shared. Verdict : give it a try.View more

Excellent Laotian food! They have a good mix of plates to share & individual entrées, & Mains. The staff consistently have good recommendations. I was apprehensive about the laap but it was great. The soup is amazing. I highly recommend. It's BYOW & they'll bring out an ice bucket if you have white wine.View more
