Serivce & location excellent, good is just alright. Atmosphere completely ruined by the atrocious music. I personally go to coffeeshops to relax, preferably with calm jazz/instrumentals & not a blaring annoying FM radio. Drove me insane & struggled to focus on the studying i was planning to do. I have been to many Second Cups & I always get a vanilla latte, which actually tastes like vanilla. But this Second cup never puts enough vanilla, I always have to mention it. I'm basically paying the price for a vanilla latte & getting a regular bitter latte. Sometimes the cup is not even full to the top. I know that for each size there is a specific amount, but they don't even put that. Like one pump means one WHOLE pump, not half way.Voir plus
Do they have different closing time? I thought cafe was closing at 9pm at least that's what's written online but in person they ask you to leave at 8pm. I wish they would have said they were closing at 8 when I purchased my drink. I thought I had an hour to sit & study but nope. If they are indeed closing at 8 they should update their online closing time. Just very misleading.Voir plus

Generally a nice place to study & catch-up on work. There's natural light because of the windows, lots of plugs to charge your device & the wifi is pretty decent. It's clean...almost too clean for my liking. An employee wiped down already clean tables with a scented detergent - which was fine, but then they were walking around spraying fer-breeze around every table - which was a bit overkill & then they follow-ed up with another scented spray shortly after spraying every second step or so. I completely understand wanting the place to be clean & smell nice but that was a bit overkill for me. I ended up getting a headache from the fumes. Let me tell you, it's clean enough! The place was spotless even before the extra cleaning. My tip is, if you're sensitive to smells to get a to-go cupVoir plus
Superb service.I wasn't feeling well & the server prepared a special lemon tea with mint.It made my day.I tried the red velvet cheese cake with blueberries.It was yummy.Though the menu was limited , the hospitality made my day.Voir plus
My go too coffee shop downtown. I usually always get the same thing, but this time they kinda messed up my drink. I'm pretty sure the girl who made it was new cause it tasted like straight oat milk & usually it doesn't 🥲 Other than that friendly staff & very polite. Good customer service. It's a great place to study, always full of people & the music isn't too loud.Voir plus
J'y suis allé ce matin vers 10h30 pour une petite rencontre, j'ai gouté au Smoothie Choco-Banane avoine qui était vraiment bon. Par contre, pour le prix la taille du smoothie était quand même décevant pour 7,25$ avant txt...Couvercle pour boisson chaude donc un peu difficile de boire avec la paille plier... I only order americano here, but they do it very well. The ratio of espresso to water is perfect for a rich cup. I also enjoy that they use a proper espresso machine versus an industrial one like Starbucks which is automated. Lots of seating & open atmosphere. Study hub for the most part. Concordia wifi reaches inside the cafe for students. Ask for key to access washroom. Staff were kind, especially the man at the counter I see often.Voir plus
I am currently preparing for an exam, & I've been going around looking for a place where I could work, but also enjoy my work sessions. Since I found this place, I couldn't change it. The quality of service is great, I am always met with a smile, & the ambiance is calm & cozy. It's just perfect for me.
I tried almost all the sandwiches, & they're all good. & the coffee tastes best, it's my favorite in the neighborhood. (Probably because the beans are well roasted, which gives a rich & savory taste.)Voir plus
The staff are so unfriendly. The poor customer service . I go there often with my boyfriend & my friends , & there is always this Arab guy with glasses that gives the worst customer service , I don’t even think he should work there if he can’t even bother to smile or say “ hi”. Several of the barista's don't know some basic terms for beverages as well as how to make some basic drinks, but they are generally nice. The food & drinks are a tad overpriced. The atmosphere is passable. Generally enough space. Although they permit people to speak on their phone through speakerphone or to listen to videos without headsets. Second Cup … second-rate.
I give this rating having used this location multiple times, over an 18-month period. Service is cold, communication & empathy are basically nonexistent. It’s often borderline hostile really.
Food & coffee are quite hit-&-miss.
In a neighborhood with so many options within 5 mins of this cafe I think I’ll spend my hard earned dollars elsewhere.Voir plus
