Review Summary

Sarah Cuisine Créole draws strong praise for its griot, which many describe as crispy and tender, along with flavorful rice, sauces, and generously portioned plates that make takeout feel like a feast. Reviewers hail it as some of the best Haitian food in Montreal and a reliable go to for traditional dishes such as riz djon djon and red beans, with extra macaroni salad often recommended. While most feedback is positive, a few reviews note inconsistencies, including dry chicken, off tasting plantains, underseasoned macaroni, and even a troubling report of hair in a dish, highlighting the importance of consistency. The overall tone emphasizes warm, family run service, fast delivery, and substantial portions, with many customers returning again and again.

I'm surprised by the low rating. This place makes amazing griot. The meat is tender & flavorful, the rice & beans are great, & the macaroni salad balances everything perfectly. They include a tasty sauce (probably meat juices), & the large portion is worth the extra $3. It's my go-to for griot. Highly recommend! I will try to had pictures next time I order.

First things first, do not eat in the shop itself, this place isn't meant for that, the place is old & only has one table with low quality chairs. If you plan on eating, pick-up or door dash. The service is alright, the waiter gives you your food & sits down while using their phone, not bad but nothing exceptional. The food wasn't bad either, the rice was decent & the chicken was tasty, sadly the porc was dry, also the macaroni tasted bad & I think it has nothing to do with the plate itself. I would come back but only if there wasn't no other choice.
