Review Summary

Sana is widely regarded as a favorite local destination for authentic, high-quality Indian and Pakistani cuisine that consistently delivers on taste and portion size. Frequent visitors praise the flavorful dishes like fish pakora, chicken sizzler, and haleem, noting that while the decor is modest, the welcoming service and professional staff elevate the overall dining experience. Most diners agree that the reasonable prices and fresh ingredients make it a standout choice in Montreal, despite occasional differing opinions on specific seasoning levels or spice profiles.

Very dirty kitchen & the food is not fresh. The chicken biryani always has more bones than meat, & tastes unfresh. I've been coming there for years & recently it has just been so bad I have no choice but to stop buying from there. The customer service is terrible, everytime I talk to the woman at the reception she has a very rude attitude & never smiles.

I was talking to a woman on the phone. She answered the call, & when I started speaking, she wasn't even listening to me. She started talking to other customers while I was speaking, which was very disrespectful & rude. When I told her that I had ordered this, she said,'I didn't hear you say that.' How could she hear me if she wasn't listening & was busy chatting with others?

I bought kadhai Panner & Veg Beryanni this restaurant for the first time, & I really didn't like it at all. There were way too many spices in it. My money has been wasted.

I've been going here for over ten years. I believe it is the best lamb biryani in montreal. My personal fav is a dindigal style biryani but this is a good version of a North Indian/pakistani biryani. The chicken sizzler botti is succulent & just perfect. The nihari is amazing (reminds me of the one from old market in Delhi less fatty & less spicy ) as is the haleem. The naans are not the best but they suffice to scoop the amazing sauces. Portions are good. Quality is good. This is authentic tasting so the decor can be ignored. No alcohol & unfortunately not byob. Prices are very reasonable. You come here for the food.

I always order from this restaurant but the last 2 times I've ordered from them, they sent me sour raita sauce, i got food poisoning after eating it both times. I know it's sour because it isn't suppose to have white chunk in it, the chunk are indication that the yogurt is sour. Very disappointing because I loved order from this restaurant!
