Sana is widely regarded as a favorite local destination for authentic, high-quality Indian and Pakistani cuisine that consistently delivers on taste and portion size. Frequent visitors praise the flavorful dishes like fish pakora, chicken sizzler, and haleem, noting that while the decor is modest, the welcoming service and professional staff elevate the overall dining experience. I've been going here for over ten years. I believe it is the best lamb biryani in montreal. My personal fav is a dindigal style biryani but this is a good version of a North Indian/pakistani biryani. The chicken sizzler botti is succulent & just perfect. The nihari is amazing (reminds me of the one from old market in Delhi less fatty & less spicy ) as is the haleem. The naans are not the best but they suffice to scoop the amazing sauces. Portions are good. Quality is good. This is authentic tasting so the decor can be ignored. No alcohol & unfortunately not byob. Prices are very reasonable. You come here for the food.

Don't let the looks deceive you! The food is authentic, delicious, & good portion for the price! I've tried many Indian places in Montreal & this one is my favourite. I keep finding myself coming back here! The chicken sizzler is killer! Fish pakora great size for the price.

Best Indian restaurant in montreal

I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant. From the service to the food to the dessert, everything was imbeccable. We were promptly seated & the food was piping hot & fresh. We ordered the mix thali with chickpeas, rice/naan, salad & a curry of your choice (we had tikka masala & butter chicken). Also got chicken pakoras (surprise, they came with fries!) & wraps. The portion sizes were super generous & the waitress often checked on us to see if we needed anything. We finished off with their gulab jamun. Wanted the kheer, but apparently its so popular, they ran out. We are definitely coming back for the kheer. I urge you to try this restaurant, especially if you enjoy Pakistani/Indian food. The atmosphere is comforting & the food is to die for. Thank you guys, my family & i loved your restaurant. Inshallah we will for sure be coming back regularily.
