Welcome to the Sana restaurant, we offer you the most delicious dishes prepared with fresh and healthy ingredients. We invite you to enjoy a special moment with family and friends.
Sana serves consistently delicious Indian and Pakistani dishes with bold spices and fresh ingredients, with highlights including haleem, butter chicken, lamb biryani, and other menu favorites that leave a strong impression. The food is described as flavorful, well prepared, and attractively presented, while the atmosphere and service are praised for warmth and attentiveness, with staff who are friendly and helpful and sometimes go the extra mile, like offering free raita. Many reviews call Sana one of their favorite places and say they keep returning for the reliable quality and the overall dining experience. Some comments point out that the value for money can be hit or miss, portions and spice levels vary, and a few visits note slow or uneven service and hygiene concerns in the dining area or bathroom. Overall, Sana is seen as a standout spot with high quality food and good people, worth a visit or return.
Very dirty kitchen & the food is not fresh. The chicken biryani always has more bones than meat, & tastes unfresh. I've been coming there for years & recently it has just been so bad I have no choice but to stop buying from there. The customer service is terrible, everytime I talk to the woman at the reception she has a very rude attitude & never smiles.
I've been going here for over ten years. I believe it is the best lamb biryani in montreal. My personal fav is a dindigal style biryani but this is a good version of a North Indian/pakistani biryani. The chicken sizzler botti is succulent & just perfect. The nihari is amazing (reminds me of the one from old market in Delhi less fatty & less spicy ) as is the haleem. The naans are not the best but they suffice to scoop the amazing sauces. Portions are good. Quality is good. This is authentic tasting so the decor can be ignored. No alcohol & unfortunately not byob. Prices are very reasonable. You come here for the food.
Don't let the looks deceive you! The food is authentic, delicious, & good portion for the price! I've tried many Indian places in Montreal & this one is my favourite. I keep finding myself coming back here! The chicken sizzler is killer! Fish pakora great size for the price.
Alla of a sudden, the quality dropped at once. Hope the reason is that the chef took vacation & will come back soon. Butter Chicken had the right color but the taste wasn't there at all😔
Sana Restaurant may not boast lavish décor, but it's a culinary treasure trove. The service is impeccable, & the food? Absolutely divine. From the rich butter chicken to the tender lamb masala & flavorful nihari beef, every dish is a masterpiece. Despite its modest appearance, Sana Restaurant shines brightly with its exceptional flavors. It's a must-visit for anyone craving an unforgettable dining experience.
Decoration is not the best but the food is marvellous. I tried the meat grill that comes with the naan & soda, all the meats were well seasoned & cooked & the chicken was juicy. Also, we tried the mango lassi & it was one of the best drinks I've ever tried. I would go back again
I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant. From the service to the food to the dessert, everything was imbeccable. We were promptly seated & the food was piping hot & fresh. We ordered the mix thali with chickpeas, rice/naan, salad & a curry of your choice (we had tikka masala & butter chicken). Also got chicken pakoras (surprise, they came with fries!) & wraps. The portion sizes were super generous & the waitress often checked on us to see if we needed anything. We finished off with their gulab jamun. Wanted the kheer, but apparently its so popular, they ran out. We are definitely coming back for the kheer. I urge you to try this restaurant, especially if you enjoy Pakistani/Indian food. The atmosphere is comforting & the food is to die for. Thank you guys, my family & i loved your restaurant. Inshallah we will for sure be coming back regularily.
Honestly this is one of the best restaurants in Parc-Extension. The food is exceptional as it is delicious & fresh. They offer a wide variety of dishes prepared with fresh ingredients. The dishes such as Butter Chicken, Grilled Chicken Tikka, Chicken Tikka Masala, Niaré Beef, Shrimp Curry, Vegetarian Korma, & Cheese Spinach are really exceptional. Also, Sana offers Halal dishes which is great. Sana is really convenient as they offer brunch, catering, delivery, takeout, & online ordering options. The restaurant is also family-friendly & offers reception services for private events. The atmosphere in the restaurant is really welcoming for customers so they can enjoy a special moment with their family & friends. The friendly staff & comfortable dining environment gives a memorable dining experience. :)
