Pretty tasty dumpling spot.
Got a lot of different food in this place. I liked all the soup dumplings. Especially the special dumplings were tasty. The Tom yum soup dumpling was really good & it tasted like Tom yum. I think that one was my favorite. The peanut dumpling was also notable good. But overall I really liked the dumplings.View more
I usually love Sammi Soupe dumplings, but tonight's take out order was disappointing to say the least. We made a half/half order & we were surprised to only see 5 dumplings each. Also, my'juicy' chicken & mushroom'soup' dumplings had NO soup at all in them.View more
I would recommend the soupe dumplings . I tried the juicy pork. Also tried the fried beef dumplings. On my revisit I ordered chicken & shrimp dumplings , to my surprise there was no soup inside the dumplings this time . A mystery I will look to solve on my next visit , I recommend the dumplings which have soup inside them so make sure you order the rights onesView more
I was so excited to try Sammi & Soupe Dumpling since it was so hyped up. Honestly, It was decent but not as good as the reviews make it out to be. We ordered the pork peanut butter dumplings (best dish we had! Hot & perfect amount of sauce. Not too sweet), pork & coriander Xiao Long Bao (good, however the dough on top was too hard & as it cooled, it just kept getting harder) pork&chive fried dumplings (they tasted good) & the shrimp pizza dumpling (absolutely terrible! Mustard on dumplings? Especially on shrimp dumplings?). That last one totally threw us off & tasted weird. I wish they would've put that in the description, as we wouldn't have ordered it. We paid $27 each & while the price is not terrible, the dumplings aren't very big, I would happily go downtown to eat dumplings at a more authentic restaurant & better bang for our $. Give it a try & you be the judge!View more
Amazing spot for soup dumplings. Not expensive at all & very high quality soup dumplings. The one downtown Montreal has a better atmosphere however, apart from that, excellent experience all around.View more
We ordered one soup dumpling & two pan seared dumplings (pork & cabbage & pork & chives), everything was good except we both felt extremely thirsty after eating the dumplings, from my experience that means they added quite a bit of MSG in their dumpling seasoning.View more
Amazing soup dumplings, I'm now more soup dumpling than man!View more
Amazing soup dumplings that are so juicy. I recommend the porc scallop xiao long bao. The staff is very friendly.View more
Awesome dumplings ! So long we didn't get to eat delicious dumplings in West Island! Love the hot & sour soup! Spicy porc dumplings are the best! Great ambience!View more
I have a crash on soup dumplings & tried Sammi for lunch for the first time. Result: the Best dumplings I ever tried. Juicy & flavorful. Had pork & lamb. Highly recommend & will definitely return.View more
I wasn't too crazy about soup dumplings until I came here, sooooo good! Just wish they had more options with coriander but that's just a personal preference.View more
Cute, very casual locale, giving fast food restaurant vibes. I went for the very first time as this is my daughters' go-to dumpling place. I admit that the soup dumplings, were mouthwatering (literally) & delicious! You order the stuffing of your choice, & they are each filled with a broth, so that when you pop the dumpling into your mouth (you have to put the entire dumpling in) & bite down, you experience an explosion of flavours - so satisfying & so very delicious. They also offer fried dumplings that I did not have, but I believe those are more dry & do not contain the said broth so the bite is likely less exciting 🙂. Their specialty is dumplings, so the majority of the menu is just that. They do have appetizers - we had the spicy cucumber (also excellent) & peanut butter noodles (very good flavour but they are served cold which is not my preference). We were a group of 11 & I have to say the service was great, very little wait time. In fact, it took us longer to make our choices then it was to get served. The restaurant has an open kitchen, so you are able to see the employees at work should you wish to - this is a positive for me. The staff is very friendly, not only the waitress, but the workers in the kitchen would look over & smile from time to time. They were even kind enough to allow us to bring our own birthday cake & kept it in the fridge for us. I definitely recommend & will be going back more often (maybe even try a different location as they have a few)! **a couple of vegan options available**View more
So happy I don't need to go all the way downtown for my favorite soup dumplings anymore! The West Island location is spacious & clean, with the same great dumplings & service that you get downtown. A great place to go with friends! My go-to is the pork, shrimp & scallop steamed dumplings, but everything on the menu is tasty. 🥟😋View more
View more
