Pretty tasty dumpling spot.
Got a lot of different food in this place. I liked all the soup dumplings. Especially the special dumplings were tasty. The Tom yum soup dumpling was really good & it tasted like Tom yum. I think that one was my favorite. The peanut dumpling was also notable good. But overall I really liked the dumplings.View more
I was so excited to try Sammi & Soupe Dumpling since it was so hyped up. Honestly, It was decent but not as good as the reviews make it out to be. We ordered the pork peanut butter dumplings (best dish we had! Hot & perfect amount of sauce. Not too sweet), pork & coriander Xiao Long Bao (good, however the dough on top was too hard & as it cooled, it just kept getting harder) pork&chive fried dumplings (they tasted good) & the shrimp pizza dumpling (absolutely terrible! Mustard on dumplings? Especially on shrimp dumplings?). That last one totally threw us off & tasted weird. I wish they would've put that in the description, as we wouldn't have ordered it. We paid $27 each & while the price is not terrible, the dumplings aren't very big, I would happily go downtown to eat dumplings at a more authentic restaurant & better bang for our $. Give it a try & you be the judge!View more
We went here & had a great time! Food was delicious, peanut sauce is a must & definitely get the spicy cucumbers 👌 checkout out full review on IG & Tiktok at mtlfoodbros:)View more
The Dumplings with peanut sauce were very good - freshly made & arrived hot.
Like other reviews, I found the service to be lacking. We were never greeted by the server (had to flag her over) & she never asked us if everything was OK or if we would like more water, etc...she just stayed behind the cash. & no, it wasn't busy...there was just one other couple in the restaurant.View more
I got the sweet pork dumplings, peanut butter dumplings as well as the cucumber salad! They were all fantastic, definitely recommend, it's a bit on the pricy side but worth spendingView more
Cute, very casual locale, giving fast food restaurant vibes. I went for the very first time as this is my daughters' go-to dumpling place. I admit that the soup dumplings, were mouthwatering (literally) & delicious! You order the stuffing of your choice, & they are each filled with a broth, so that when you pop the dumpling into your mouth (you have to put the entire dumpling in) & bite down, you experience an explosion of flavours - so satisfying & so very delicious. They also offer fried dumplings that I did not have, but I believe those are more dry & do not contain the said broth so the bite is likely less exciting 🙂. Their specialty is dumplings, so the majority of the menu is just that. They do have appetizers - we had the spicy cucumber (also excellent) & peanut butter noodles (very good flavour but they are served cold which is not my preference). We were a group of 11 & I have to say the service was great, very little wait time. In fact, it took us longer to make our choices then it was to get served. The restaurant has an open kitchen, so you are able to see the employees at work should you wish to - this is a positive for me. The staff is very friendly, not only the waitress, but the workers in the kitchen would look over & smile from time to time. They were even kind enough to allow us to bring our own birthday cake & kept it in the fridge for us. I definitely recommend & will be going back more often (maybe even try a different location as they have a few)! **a couple of vegan options available**View more
