I ordered the shrimp soup dumplings & was disappointed with the shrimp dumpling because there was no soup in them. It was very dry actually & no pieces of shrimp only a shrimp paste . The. Pastry looked perfect but when I bit into them they were dry & thick. I expect a place that specializes in soup dumplings to have exquisite dumpling pastry. When one orders soup dumplings one expects a huge squirt of soup broth which is the whole point of these morsels. I have had them in New York & also in Taiwan & Vietnamese & these did not meet any minimal level of expectation. I noticed a lady beside me ordered soup dumpling s & a side of broth which would have probably saved my meal but this should not be necessary. The table on the other side of me ordered the fried dumplings & they looked good I admit.
The place was busy & turnover very quick. Service was very quick & polite. The decor is average & was clean so I'll give it that. But I was soooo looking forward to yummy soup dumplings in Montreal & this was a fail.

A great price for the amount of soup dumplings they give. We got the original Juicy Pork & the Pork & Chives which weren't bad. If you're feeling soup dumplings this is a great way to satisfy the craving.
Service & interior were decent nothing extraordinary
Very delicious & authentic handmade soup dumplings for a very reasonable price. So much so that you likely will have to wait in line to be seated depending on when you dine here. On this Friday evening we waited 15minutes. Staff is friendly but unfortunately a little scattered this night as the staff seemingly forgot our order as they served patrons who were seated well after my wife & I. It wasn't until I asked on the status of our order that they realized we had been sitting in limbo for 15 minutes. I assume this was an abnormality & the dumplings made up for it. One of the hottest tickets in town for sure.
Sammi & Soupe Dumpling is fantastic! I always order my usual-steamed dumplings with beef & coriander & Wonton soup-& it's always amazing. The dumplings are perfectly cooked, full of flavor, & the soup is comforting & delicious. The staff is friendly & attentive, making every visit a great experience. Whether you're a fan of dumplings or just looking for a cozy meal, Sammi & Soupe Dumpling never disappoints. Highly recommended!
We love soupy dumplings & have had our share of soup dumplings. It is one of the best. The wrap is thin & the filling is of good portion. The dumplings are juicy & tasty. The cucumber is so flavourful. I am a bit disappointed that the dessert is sold out.
This location is in the heart of Chinatown. A small place so a bit cramped & there could be lineup as it appears to be popular.

Did not do any research. I wanted to be at Montreal china town to try their street food. My favourite shop was closed on Monday. I went to Sammi
Great to know Sammi reinvented dumplings with different flavours & ingredients. I was shocked to see so many. At the same time I am wondering how many of those flavours are prepared days ago due to variety.
Soupy Juicy? So so. Not a squirting one I had before
Temperature ? Great. Not a burning hot soupy dumpling but it's hot
Taste? Ok. Not bad. Just remember certain successful steam dumpling place they have way less choices & people line up to have a dish. Sometimes less is more
Service is good
Place is clean.
Texture? That's not my favourite. the tip of the dumpling was very chewy. I feel like they were rushing out the order. & one actually bursted

'must skip the soup' it came in a small bowl & it does not taste as good as others
This soup dumpling (xiao long bao, XLB) restaurant sells just that.. I was expecting to see other dumplings or noodles on the menu. I was also disappointed to see few Chinese patrons. On my way out, there was a couple getting take out.
I got #11 pork XLB & #18 lamb & coriander. Pork was meh. Lamb was better. I asked the server for ginger, & they said they don't have it! Very surprised. I also got the fried dumplings. They're only good because they're fried.
I would not come back.
Oh, almost forgot the thing that made me puke in my mouth. This cockroach appeared on the wall next to my table!! That means there is an infestation somewhere nearby.
Un vrai restaurant chinois qui ne sert que des raviolis & quelques soupes. Le service est rapide & l'accueil attentionné malgré le monde. Le temps d'attente est modéré & permet de faire son choix...
Got takeout soup dumplings took around 10 minutes to receive my order. 10/10 amazing taste with good soup & good skin texture. Would definitely eat here again but dine in since soup dumplings are always best fresh!

Wow! Sammi & Soupe Dumpling is a hidden gem in Montreal's Chinatown. The dumplings are handmade & absolutely delicious - juicy, flavorful, & perfectly cooked. 🥢 I especially recommend the pork & shrimp soup dumplings - they burst with flavor & warmth.
The ambiance is casual but cozy, & service is quick even when it's busy (which it usually is - & for good reason). Definitely a must-try spot if you love authentic dumplings & Asian comfort food. 🍜
Tip: go early or be ready to wait - it's worth it.
We went to Montreal in search of the best dumplings. From the three restaurants we went to, we gave the #1 rank to this restaurant. We ordered the pork dumpling & chicken/mushroom. These were amazing. The wrap was thin but strong to hold the soup. The flavour on the meat is good. The service was great as well. The wonton soup was good. Nothing to brag about this one. lol. I would recommend you stick to the dumplings
We've been to Sammy & Soupe Dumpling several times. The wait time is never more than 10-15 minutes. The dumplings are always delicious - truly a treat!

Super endroit pour manger des Soupe Dumpling ! Le personnel est gentil & efficace, les portions sont généreuses & la qualité de la nourriture s'est ressentie ! Je recommande !
Can't stop thinking about the soup dumplings we had in 2024. We will be visiting again next month & will probably be ordering & enjoying big plates of soup dumplings every day 😋.
Amazing food!! I was extremely impressed. I may have ordered too much but I ate all of it! Dumplings, fried (pork & cabbage) & steamed (coriander & pork) with a wonton soup!
