great place to take your white friends & feel a bit culturally superior to them but then feel a profound sadness when they watch you eat a soup dumpling so they know how to'do it right.' i dont understand what tiktok has done to people its just a soup dumpling just dont be an idiot about it. anyways i always walk away from sammi & soupe with both my stomach & my wallet full. reminds me of a simpler time before i became friends with white people.
Amazing pan fried & steamed dumplings. Soup dumplings just like in China. If you can get a table enjoy the quick & attentive service - just be ready to be cozy with those sitting around you owing packed number of tables in small space. But well worth it!

Some of the best soup dumpling we had. My friend ordered the chicken dumpling & I ordered the Shrimp/cabbage pan friend dumplings. We both really enjoyed the food.
Une magnifique première expérience pour des soup dumplings. Il y a toujours beaucoup de monde mais le service est rapide & efficace, donc l'attente n'est jamais trop longue. Fortement recommandé!
This restaurant is located in Chinatown, easy to find & bustling with activity. We waited for about 10 minutes before getting a table, but the food was served quickly. We ordered two appetizers (cucumbers & seaweed salad), two baskets of soup dumplings, one order of pan-fried dumplings, & two bowls of soup. The soup was average, especially the hot & sour soup didn't impress, but I really enjoyed their soup dumplings & appetizers. There were many options for soup dumplings, & we ordered pork soup dumplings & chicken mushroom. We all agreed that the chicken mushroom was the most delicious, but the pork was great too. However, the pan-fried dumplings were too greasy, with a layer of oil at the bottom of the plate, but the lamb filling was very tasty. Overall, the food was decent, & the service was quick with the servers delivering the food promptly.
Pretty & delicious dumpling spot!! I got chicken mushroom steamed soup dumplings & they were incredibly flavourful & juicy, seasoned well & very filling. On the side I got cold peanut noodles & the portion was extremely generous, it was fresh & also full of flavour. The place was packed when I got there, but the service was amazing & very friendly regardless! I would come back for sure, must visit spot if u are ever in the mood for dumplings! :))
We went to this place last March 30, 2024 after visiting Notre Damme Basilica which is just a few hundred meters away. Nice place to have a snack or dumplings. Prices are great compared to similar restaurants here in Ottawa. We will definitely be back here in China town soon.
First time eating soup dumpling.Omg, were they good!!!! The fried dumpliwere great as well. Had my beef with it all, soooo good!! Highly recommend. Great for sharing
Autres pays autre moeurs! Tres bon endroit pour les dumplings ou je vais souvent, vraiment délicieux. A peine fini l'assiette on nous l'enlève & de la main on nous indique la caisse, on laisse passer quelques minutes le temps de respirer, une autre personne nous indique la caisse avec insistance! pour laisser la place. Je comprend le principe mais c'est agressant! Bon appétit mais dépêchez vous!
Pretty good overall. Juice XLB dumplings in decent portion size. Staff was attentive & the restaurant was well managed when it got busy. Lost a star because there's no ginger to accompany the vinegar, tea is additional & the hot & sour soup lacks flavor & consistency

Surprenamment vraiment juteux lol. Accompagné d'une sauce épicée vraiment bonne, ça fait différent de la sauce soja qu'on nous offre à certaines places. Bon service du monsieur à l'accueil également. 😊
