Such good food every time! The sweet drinks are also very good. Love the kimchi fries & spicy creamy udons. 😊
The chestnut flavor rice wine is absolutely delicious!! Go well with spicy Urdu noodles! Recommended!!!
I don't normally write reviews but my kids love it so much we be going back forsure. The spicy beef udon & curry katsu is a big win for me. Omg the flavours. Kids love the spicy Taboki with extra cheese n ramen it's so addicting. Beef tartare n seafood pancake n fry chicken is a must get if u wanna drink n eat :) There is something for everyone & for the price your paying its fair. A hidden gem in MTL downtown
The food & atmosphere was amazing !! The portions are pretty big. Rice cakes are mildly spicy😢 Overall wasn't expensive.
I came to Samcha after a recommendation from a friend, I was told it was extremely spicy & delicious, so I came with expectations. It was great, the food was piping hot & fresh, & the flavors were amazing. (I had the kimchi fried rice, extremely creamy & savory with that signature gochujang flavor). Along with that, I also had the spicy teokbokki with cheese that was equally delicious. Now, as to the reason why I only rated it 4*, the teokbokki was perfectly spicy, but the kimchi fried rice barely had any spice. According to my friend, it tasted as though they've toned down the spice quite a lot since her last visit. She had the spicy udon, & there was the same statement in terms of spice level. I have a pretty low spice tolerance, & when I can barely taste it, something feels wrong. I'd recommend asking to make it spicier if you're planning to order something spicy. Other than that, it's a great place with an amazingly warm & bustling atmosphere! The sojus tastes great.
Their beef tartare is amazing! Also love their Naengmyeon & spicy pork dupbap. Make sure you reserve early, especially if you have a larger group!
The prices were fair & the food is good! Has a variety of soju! Also, if your spice tolerance isn't very good then good luck for the tteokbokki because I took a less spicy one & it was still very very spicy. Just an fyi :)
The Korean Stir Fried Spicy Pork at this restaurant is unparalleled. The chef's special touch makes it the best I've ever tried.
My favorite Korean restaurant in all of Montreal! I recommend the spicy udon, chicken katsu ramen, & udon curry. You won't be disappointed.
