I brought my mom here for afternoon tea to celebrate her birthday, & unfortunately, what should have been a special & enjoyable experience was overshadowed by our experience upon arrival.

I had made a reservation for three, but unfortunately one person was unable to attend. As soon as we arrived, before we had even been seated, I was immediately told that cancellations normally need to be made 48 hours in advance & that there is generally a charge for a no-show. I explained that I had not been informed of this policy when my reservation was confirmed, nor could I find any mention of it on the website when I had looked beforehand.

I had actually tried calling several times over the two weeks leading up to the reservation in order to reach the establishment, but unfortunately no one answers the phone. Had I been made aware of the cancellation policy when my reservation was confirmed, I would absolutely have left a voicemail to notify them as soon as I knew one of our guests could no longer attend.

I completely understand the need for a cancellation policy, & I would have respected it had it been clearly communicated at the time of booking. What I found disappointing was the way the situation was handled. Before we were even seated, I was asked whether I wanted the food for the missing guest packaged to take home, & I was reminded again that I could normally be charged for the no-show. I was ultimately told that we would not be charged, which I appreciated.

Unfortunately, the matter was brought up yet again during our afternoon tea. While I understand that the policy may be important to the establishment, having the situation revisited after we had already discussed it left me feeling quite uncomfortable & made it difficult to simply relax & enjoy my mom's birthday.

The afternoon tea itself was somewhat enjoyable, but the customer service significantly affected the overall experience. I was never made aware of the cancellation policy, so I did not feel that I had intentionally done anything wrong. I simply would have appreciated a little more understanding & discretion in how the situation was handled.

I am leaving this review respectfully & constructively, because I hope the feedback can be taken as an opportunity for improvement. A cancellation policy is completely understandable; however, I believe it is equally important that such policies are clearly communicated & handled in a way that allows guests to still feel welcome, particularly when they are visiting to celebrate a special occasion.

Always lovely to be here. For the best experience- be sure to contact them for a reservation. I booked a solo date day & needed to come after the last seating so I reached out to ask if I came within 30 min of the last seating. Rose Lanoi is always willing to make it work for you (within reason) & they do afternoon tea with a flair!

My mother, sister & I had a lovely tea at Rosie-Lanoi which we enjoyed very much. The atmosphere is very quaint & family oriented. Tea was very tasty & server was attentive & friendly. Will definitely go back!

Impeccable service, tea, food & ambiance. I went last Saturday with my friends from out-of-town & we were extremely satisfied, simply delicious & elegant, in the heart of lovely Pointe-Claire Village. I highly recommend.

What a wonderful experience & atmosphere on a rainy summer day. The tea samples were great & the Mimosa, sandwiches, scones & desserts were delicious. Christine was a wonderful hostess explaining everything so well. Will definitely go back!

I have been to the Salon Rosie-Lanoi on several occasions & Nadine & Christine never disappoint. Today I went with my mom & sister. As always, they created a lovely ambience, service was attentive but not overwhelming. The food is delicious & they always create an interesting & varied menu. The portions are appropriate & the variety of teas is extensive. Thankyou Christine & Nadine for another lovely afternoon. 😀

Petit salon de thé cosy ou règne une atmosphère feutrée qui donne envie de s'attarder.
Le service est attentionné & discret, les divers canapés & pâtisseries faits maison sont savoureux.
Le souci du détail est omniprésent autant dans la décoration que dans le choix de la vaisselle.
J'ai apprécié la formule du chariot à thés permettant de déguster diverses saveurs.
Je recommande vivement cet endroit pour une pause gourmande & tellement apaisante.
