This restaurant was amazing from service to food to vibes. The owner is very hospitable & friendly. & the servers are kind. Also the meat & chicken are very tender & full of flavour. We had such a great experience the first time we had to come back again the next day. Absolutely loved the Moroccan food & culture. If they opened up a location in Toronto I would be there every weekend.
I went to this Moroccan restaurant with a Moroccan friend & tried their 4-course dinner for $30 per person. The place felt really authentic right away, especially with the classy decor that reminded him of his hometown.
We started with Mechouia, a grilled pepper & tomato salad with garlic & olive oil, & Pastilla (which was $8 extra), a sweet-savoury puff pastry with chicken, almonds, eggs, cinnamon, & saffron honey.
For mains, we had Royal Couscous with chicken, lamb shank, beef sausage, vegetables, & chickpeas, plus a chicken tagine with lemons & olives. Both were rich, comforting, & full of flavour.
We ended with dark chocolate truffles & mint tea, which was refreshing & classic.
Overall, it felt authentic, well-priced, & like a real taste of Morocco.
The decor contributes to the atmosphere of an authentic Moroccan experience. The lamb hanging was excellent. The family takes pride in their restaurant & it shows.
Amazing opportunity tonight to meet some great people, eat authentic Moroccan food & watched a very talented belly dancer!
Amazing!!
Salon Mogador in Montreal offers an authentic Moroccan dining experience. The restaurant's cozy & elegant decor sets the perfect ambiance. I had Tajine & some of their tapas, absolutely delicious . Service is exceptional, with staff who are knowledgeable & passionate about Moroccan cuisine. Don't miss the traditional sweets & mint tea for dessert. In short, Salon Mogador is a must-visit for its amazing food, charming atmosphere, & excellent service. Highly recommended!
We are from Boston, Massachusetts & wanted to try authentic Moroccan food in Montreal. This place exceeded all expectations! My boyfriend was born & raised in Morocco & can attest to authenticity. As soon as we walked in, the owner introduced himself & addressed us by our names. The setting is absolutely stunning, & the service was just spectacular. Must haves are the couscous, kefta & Moroccan tea amongst all of their other delicious foods. Everything we got was a 10/10. We would visit a lot more if we were closer.
A very good Moroccan restaurant. The food was overall good but not excellent (see the tajine photo, almost dry without sauce), the royal couscous was much better. The atmosphere was excellent with a live dance performance of almost 20 minutes. Very good service & hospitality of the owner & staffs. I will go back again
