J'ai essayé Ryu pour le dîner puisque l'endroit est situé tout près de mon bureau & facilement accessible depuis le métro Peel. Le restaurant est joliment décoré & le service était correct, mais malheureusement, Je suis ressortie assez insatisfaite de l'expérience par rapport au prix payé.
J'ai choisi la table d'hôte du midi à 50 $, comprenant une entrée & un plat principal. Honnêtement, tout était simplement ordinaire. La soupe miso était correcte, mais peu garnie, avec seulement quelques petits morceaux de tofu & aucune algue. Le plat principal était bon, le poisson frais & les portions adéquates, mais rien ne M'a particulièrement impressionnée ou donné envie de revenir.
Le point qui M'a le plus déplu est toutefois arrivé au moment de payer. Après un repas à 50 $ que J'ai trouvé très ordinaire, les options de pourboire commençaient directement à 18 %, puis augmentaient. J'aurais probablement laissé 18 % de toute façon, mais Je trouve franchement exagéré de pratiquement imposer un minimum de pourboire, surtout lorsque le repas & le service étaient simplement corrects.
Bref, ce n'était pas mauvais, mais le rapport qualité-prix ne M'a absolument pas convaincue. Pour le montant payé, & avec un minimum de 18 % de pourboire pratiquement imposé, Je M'attendais à beaucoup mieux. Il existe, à mon avis, de meilleures options & des repas plus intéressants pour moins cher dans les environs.
Hello, I visited the Peel location today & the food was excellent. However, the server was extremely rude & had a terrible attitude. I had reserved a table for two at 12 p.m., & I should have asked to speak to a manager. The server was subpar, arrogant, & rude. It was disappointing given the quality of the food.

The lobster dumpling was way too salty & didn't taste very fresh. Overpriced for the quality of food & the service they provide. The sashimi was decent, though.
The sushi & martinis were fantastic! The staff was wonderful & gave us great recommendations, & the service was impressively quick. Everything tasted incredibly fresh. The only roll I wasn't crazy about was the one with the red topping (I can't remember the name!)-it was just a little too smoky for my palate. Otherwise, everything was delicious & we had a wonderful experience!
We went to Ryu for my friend's birthday, & had an incredible evening on their patio !
The food lives up to the hype, & despite being there on busy Saturday, our waiter, Leo, stayed attentive all throughout our meal
