The place has an amazing atmosphere.View more
I ordered online & let me tell you! The packaging was absolutely gorgeous. The food on another level. Wow, the sashimi was second to none, their makis so perfectly rolled & cut & the fish as fresh as it gets. They have amazing hot food as well. Their wagyu dumplings DELICIOUS! & their crispy taquitos with the salmon tartare... foodgasm! This is definitely the best delivery sushi I've had so far in Montreal. I will be going to try them in person because the pictures of the place look so beautiful !View more

It's supposed to be fine dining My boyfriend came here twice but it probably be our last time as well. Well at least we give chances to try. The bill was over 200$ Pro : The ambiance were great ! Very chic & stylish. We were outside at the terrace, highly recommend. Music was nice & cool. Cons : Staffs : very chic but not that friendly & honestly quite erogan. Food : Ordinary , quality doesn't meet expectations for the price. I am not sure if it was our luck or the food was really ordinary & quite disappointing. We don't mind the price if the food is good quality O-Toro 25 $ for 2 pcs. One of the sashimi piece was very chewy. At this price, I expect a good piece of fish that can be eaten the whole piece not just partially. I had better quality & price somewhere else. Scallop nigiri was just ok. The rice was just ok, the scallops were fresh. Salmon & tuna Tartare It was a good looking presentation dish, however the taste was nothing special. Scallop truffles roll 23$ I had a piece of something like a hard crum of quinoa ( maybe ) stuck in my tooth first bite of sushi. Besides that it was ok. Surf & turf roll was very DISAPPOINTING !! for 39$ , the Wagyu beef on the top part were VERY CHEWY ! I was surprised & wondered if that was the style of beef or it was just a mistake ? We ended up taking off the prices of wagyu , the rolls still very ordinary. White wine was ok for 19$ for very ordinary wine. Overall you pay for the cool ambience not the food. for that price range doesn't meet our expectations for food quality at all.View more
Ryu in Griffintown is a cozy & wonderful restaurant with great staff & incredible service. We sat in the lounge area which was quite an experience & the staff was always on their feet & inquiring about the food. We started with the miso soup followed by Wagyu dumplings & it was beyond delicious! I ordered the Salmon & Tuna tartare & the presentation was beyond wonderful for I've never been served salmon & tuna tartare in that fashion. It was beyond tasty :) My partner had Shirayuki & we loved it too :) For dessert, we had the vegan mochi & it came in 3 wonderful flavors ! Would highly recommend this place as it's a perfect venue for a date night or chilling with friends. A 10/10 restaurant ❤️View more
