The price was reasonable, food was amazing, portions were good, location was convenient, ambience was great, service was great too. Only thing is there was no air conditioning or fan so it was hot & stuffy inside.
The decor & location is nice, but regrettably the food isn't authentic Indian cuisine. The 4.8 score is misleading.
We tried the butter chicken & Bengali fish. The butter chicken gravy seemed to be on the watery side & the fish prep was not Bengali. It can be replicated using KFI butter chicken gravy jars from the grocery store. Putting mustard seeds in fish doesn't make it Bengali prep, it had a plain tomato onion base & tasted like Aloo Matar with fish. I felt sad for the fish which ended up in this prep.
Food was just okay, if you're not looking for that authentic Indian taste.
We had an absolutely amazing dinner at Rutba!
Their Panneer Tikka was to die for, very soft & full of flavors.
Surabi & Shravani were really sweet.
We had a problem with the parking, Surabi came forward & helped us without hesitation.
Shravani recommended the dishes, all of them were mouth watering. Highly recommend this place if you are in Montreal.
It was a great experience. Loved the ambience & the food quality. Everything was freshly made. They have put their heart in this restaurant. Simran was a great host. & played some great music too :)
Excellent meal. We had lamb rogan josh & balti chicken tikka & a nan, all tasted delicious. Red beer was also lovely. Great service & very affordable prices. I would definitely go back if I lived in Montreal!
I tried malai kofta & a bunch of appetizers. They were delicious especially the malai kofta. My husband had the Rogan Josh, he said it was decent. The service was average, we had to wait 45 mins for our food. But the overall experience was great!
Staff is very friendly, & the food has been consistently amazing since last 1 year.
Must try their rasmalai tiramisu dessert. It is exceptionally delicious!
Special thanks to Simran & Sam, for being the best servers, every time!
Kudos to the owner on how effectively she manages her staff, & the restaurant. You are setting an example in the field of hospitality! I wish you more entrepreneurial success across Canada.
