Had dinner at Rutba last night with friends & it was excellent! We ordered the chicken biryani, paneer & kofta curries with some naans, plus a cocktail & a beer. Everything was packed with authentic Indian flavors & tasted delicious. The ambiance inside is warm, stylish, & perfect for a night out. A big thanks to Simram for the wonderful service & for surprising us with complimentary gulab jamun, & to Hritik for being so attentive throughout. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for flavorful Indian food in Montreal!
Lovely food & service (shoutout to Sim!), the music was a touch loud for me but not overbearing. Prices super reasonable & cocktail was great. Plenty of veggie options.
Combo platter was delicious, a little bit of everything. We are not big eaters so the smaller portions were perfect for us. Cocktails were also excellent!

Some places serve great food, some have wonderful service-but every once in a while, you find a spot that feels like pure magic. Rutba Cafe was exactly that. I went with someone special, & what started as a simple dinner turned into an unforgettable night, all thanks to the warmth of the space & the incredible service that made us feel like the only two people in the world.
The highlight? A custom cocktail Sravani crafted just for us. It was pure alchemy-perfectly balanced, with flavours that felt both delicate & effortless. Smooth, fragrant, it was the kind of drink that lingers on your lips & in your memory long after the last sip. Every detail, from the way she mixed it to the way she presented it, felt like an extension of the magic she was creating for us.
We closed the place down, lost in conversation, in the glow of good company. This experience felt intimate, special, & completely unrepeatable.

Rutba was an amazing restaurant!! Great food & cocktails. It was such a lovely atmosphere with great staff. Food was delicious & so affordable!!! I would definitely go again
Très bon resto! La nourriture est excellente & les cocktails on a pris ont été super bien équilibrés. Service est agréable & le décor est sympa. On a pris le tiramisu au pistache, mais c'est pas tout à fait un tiramisu, car les savoyards ont été quand même croquants & la crème c'est pas du mascarpone, mais le chantilly. J'ai aimé le dessert, mais c'est pas un tiramisu pour moi:)
