This is my honest review.
We ordered snacks. They were amazing drinks amazing but the Dal Rutba they have it's over hyped It's not worth it.
The Paneer Labbadar was authentic & tasty a must try.
Server are very professional & assist perfectly for selection of menu.

We had such a good experience at cafe Rutba! We had the soya chaap, paneer lababdar, & garlic naan, which were all delicious. Soya chaap was especially amazing. Great experience, & we will definitely be coming back!
The ras malai tiramisu was too sweet, though. The flavours were great, but it would've been better at 50% less sweetView more

I am absolutely delighted with my experience at Rutba, Montreal. This Indian restaurant exceeded all expectations with its exceptional food & diverse menu. What impressed me the most was how they strike the perfect balance-while offering authentic Indian flavors, they also cater to a wider audience, including French & English-speaking locals. The restaurant was buzzing with people from different cultural backgrounds, which speaks volumes about the quality & versatility of their offerings. Here's what I tried & loved: • Hara Bhara Kebab: Perfectly cooked & packed with flavor. • Noodle Manchurian Platter: A unique & creative dish I've never seen before, served in generous portions. • Zafani Broccoli: Simply amazing & cooked to perfection. • Lachha Paratha: The best I've ever had, even compared to those in India-crispy, flaky, & absolutely delicious. • Dal & Paneer Piyaza: Rich, flavorful, & comforting. • Rosemary Naan & Garlic Naan: Soft, aromatic, & bursting with taste. Rutaba has truly mastered the art of blending tradition with innovation. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, & the flavors were nothing short of extraordinary. This is a buzzing Indian restaurant which serves amazing Indian cuisines. We went in with a reservation , had called in before to make sure to get seated since it was a Saturday. They have live Indian music on weekends i guess & it was amazing. The vibe of the place overall is the best. We were served very cheerfully & service till the end was great. The Paneer tikka masala (100/10) will teleport you to the New Delhi & it was legit the best I have had in Montreal. This is one dish i will suggest you to have apart from any dishes you feel comfortable. You cant miss this dish. I literally mean it. Apart from that we had Onion bhaji (10/10)(The chat masala on top, onion spinach combination is something i tried first time & the chutney, all together nails it) Paneer lababdaar(8.5/10) (The curry was rich in flavor but on a sweeter tone so not my style i would say but you'll love it) Garlic naan (10/10) The garlic naans here were fresh, they didn't go chewy after some while which shows the dough is fresh & its an artistic thing to achieve this. I love it. This restaurant lived up to the hype & i think the authentic Indian taste is rare to find. The drinks were delicately crafted, I had the blue lagoon & it was the best. Definitely try that out. Apart from that, no complaints necessarily, I think you should not grudge visiting this restaurant & there's literally lots of things in vegetarian, non vegetarian options that I will have to visit few times to make all the things i wondered would taste equally good. Their dessert range is also very alluring & we were literally so full in onion bhaji & main course that we couldn't have it. So i will definitely visit it back to even just try their desserts. The chefs, mixologist & the owner have worked hardest & it shows the way they have crafted the best menu. I wish i visit it quite often. Definitely in my top 5 Indian restaurants to try in Montreal list.View more

We were here for the MTL à table experience, which is a great way for restaurants to show off their menu, at least that's what I was expecting. I was so disappointed with this one. Serving paneer with no sauce? interesting. Plate of 4 "malai" shrimps, still no sauce? Naan was great, the rest of the food lacked flavor (I don't know how you can mess up butter chicken...) & this is coming from a non-spicy eater lol. I don't understand how this place is so highly rated, especially considering that Montreal has so many great Indian food spots. Lastly, I don't care much for the service if the food is great, but in this case, maybe a nicer service would've made up for the bland food? first & last time for me!View more

The Paneer Lababdar was orange & tangy so just like any other American Indian restaurant in the city, not for Indians looking for original taste. Breads were nicely done in the tandoor. The appetizers Veg kebab felt dry for some reason. But we should be back to try some other items on the menu.View more

We ate here for our anniversary dinner, & it was one of the most delicious & satisfying meals I've had in a very long time. One of the finest places in Montreal to try Indian food. I would rate it 10/10 on the food quality & taste, we tried their pomfret, chicken, butter paneer & they were all amazing. On top of that the cocktails they have are superb. & the owners are perfect host, they will check on you to ensure that everything is good. & last but not the least their pistachio tiramisu was extremely tasty, I would highly recommend this place.View more

We went there from Ottawa on a friend's recommendation. We tried both vegetarian & non vegetarian options. The highlight was Dal Rutba one of the best so far I've had. Lahsooni murg Tikka was ok for me, a bit chewy but I've trust in their kitchen & they'll do justice to it. In main course we had kadhai chicken & paneer Tikka masala. Overall taste is good but a little more roasting the base of the gravy will enhance the taste . They can use a bit less oil because their food is delicious anyway. Naan, laccha paratha, rosemary naan(very creative) & delicious. All the breads were fresh, soft & delicious. The staff is so friendly & treated everyone nicely. Either owner was accompanying every table when the order arrived & gave their personal attention. We're in awe of how the staff was dealing with everyone & everything. Overall the restaurant looks promising & would love to go there again & try other options. Kudos team Rutba, way to go!View more

Visited Rutba with my parents & it was everything about home they were missing - great Indian flavours, warm & welcoming vibes & nostalgic music. Visiting from New York, the classic butter chicken & palak paneer were great as was the coriander chutney--super fresh & vibrant flavors, our dishes were luxuriously creamy & not greasy at all like so many NYC spots. I came here with my friend when she was visiting Montreal & it did not disappoint!! Our server Kira was lovely & gave us the excellent recommendation of pani puri as an appetizer. It was delightfully refreshing, we loved the tangy water. Also just fun to eat. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful not to mention taste phenomenal. The paneer tikka masala was our favorite dish we ordered. As for naan, definitely get the cheese naan. They don't mess around. Highly recommend this restaurant!View more

We dined in . We ordered butter chicken, paneer labobdar, malai koffta, butter naan, garlic naan, lasha prantha, with 70 percent spice level. Just salt was less in paneer labobdar & malai paneer.
