We visited Ruby Café on a Sunday morning to celebrate our Yorkshire Terrier's first birthday, & it was a fantastic experience! The service was excellent, & the brunch menu, priced around $20 per person, was both reasonable & delicious. We treated our pup to a small pupcake, & they even provided a candle, which was a nice touch. The ambiance is lovely, the place is very clean, & it's clear they care about both their human & furry guests. I highly recommend this spot to other dog owners. Plus, with the Lachine Canal just across the street, it's the perfect place to take your dog for a walk after brunch. We'll definitely be back!View more

This place is a paradise for dogs! I'm shocked that more cities don't have a place like Ruby Cafe. Not only was the human food delicious but our pup loves the meatballs for dogs. My boyfriend liked his cappuccino but the matcha latte was too watered down for my liking. It's great to finally have a restaurant where your dog can sit next to you especially during the hot summers. We even made friends with the table next to us & they bought our little guy a pup cake!View more

A must stop if you're a dog owner in Montreal! We are from PEI & came here since we wanted to take our sheltie Goose somewhere to eat with us at least once while we were in the city. I did not expect to be blown away by this place! When we arrived, we were directed to our table & our server brought us some water - but not just us humans, they also bring a bowl of water for your dog! I have to say, I was not expecting the food at a dog-focused cafe to be anything special, but the menu items all seemed carefully crafted for a quality cuisine experience. I had a hard time deciding what to get since it all looked good, but I chose the Poche Vege Ratatouille which exceeded my expectations & was super yummy. After we ate, I ordered Goose a pup cake which he gobbled down super quick so I can only assume that was tasty as well. While we were there, he made lots of small doggy friends & had a nap or two under the bench while we ate - the booth we were at had a place to attach your leash onto as well which was great so that we didn't have to worry too much about him wandering at the wrong times. The location is also a dog hotel so we saw several dogs checking in & out of their stay, & in the lobby they also have a bunch of treats, chews, & toys available for purchase. We had a lovely experience & I can't recommend this place enough & I wish we had something similar on PEI! We love taking Goose places with us & it was really nice to feel so welcome at Ruby Cafe MTL. ❤️View more

Food was excellent, the staff was very friendly, we had a problem with the table they had assigned to us which was too small & the manager ended up giving us another table with plenty of space. We went for our dog's bday & she had the best time. She was so excited. They even brought us a pup cake with a candle so we could celebrate her. The dog menu was great, my dog had the meatballs & she loved it ! As for us hoomans, I'll say it again, the food was SO GOOD! It was a great experience we will surely go back.View more

Lovely place to bring your pup. Fair prices it's just that some pictures on the online menu don't look like the product. The pup loaf was huge online but they give you only 1 small slice for 6$, that was disappointing but other than that it was good.View more

Amazing spaces. Very modern & beautiful. I love the pool for the pups (at an extra cost) & the little shop for doggos. A bit expensive but you definitely see the quality. The experience to come brunch with your furry friend & have them socialize is great. Food was excellent & there is a view inside the kitchen which is beautiful. Definitely recommend. Only disappointed about the opening hours, wish they could be open during the week for study sessions with my pup.View more

INCREDIBLE!!!! Today we went to the doggy cafe for the first time ever & we are converts. Really relaxing atmosphere, happy people & dogs everywhere. The servers are really wonderful & friendly, the fellow visitors are also sooooo nice! The food is amongst the best in the city. Fresh, high quality ingredients & delicious recipes. We didn't think a dog cafe would put this much thought into humans, but wow this food was as good as it gets for us! Our pups were gifted veggie/fruit dog cupcakes (much appreciated by us since our dogs have protein intolerance with animal byproducts) by the servers who were attentive & welcoming. We had an amazing time & to quote mt partner, we'd move to MTL JUST for Ruby Cafe. Absolutely superb, from staff to food to atmosphere. Thank you & cheers to ruby!View more

We love coming here. We can take the whole family, baby, dogs & all, out to brunch! & it's not a boring brunch, it's an excellent brunch & top notch coffee, & something fresh & delicious for the pups :)
This time around we got the Ratatouille Poché & & it was a bit disappointing, as the food has always been great before. The Ratatouille Poché was a bit too soft as a plate; maybe the brioche could have been toasted, or maybe the Brussels leaves could have been crispy (both were raw) or maybe there could have been nuts in the dish? I don't think I will order it again, as mentioned above, everything else we've ordered has been amazing.

We had the smiley breakfast, smoked salmon bagel & French sticks & our puppies loved the meatballs & pup cake. Service was also friendly & attentive. There is even a fenced in area to take your dog after to run & play. This is a great concept & we can't wait to return!
