We did a pit stop in Montreal during a road trip with our dog, was looking for a pet friendly restaurant. Ruby cafe was the first one that popped up on Google. Loved the atmosphere. I didn't know the daycare was actually attached to restaurant so it was cool to have all their services in one building. If you haven't already, consider opening up something similar in Toronto.Voir plus

It's the second time I've been to Ruby Café & both times, they've offered exceptional, quality service. You can tell how much the staff love dogs! It's really sweet. Great food, both for us humans & pup approved!Voir plus

Wonderful cafe. I passed so many times along the lachine canal without noticing it.
The food was perfect (on the terrace with our dogs). We ate at 11am, the menu was a mix between breakfast, brunch & lunch
All the items in the menu are very different & original, so it is easy to please everybody (from vegan to gluten free, from spicy to deliciously sweet).Voir plus

Cute place for both humans & their furry family member! Brunch & drinks were pretty good, typical brunch dishes. The Sloppy Dog sandwich & the Morrocan Casserole were tasty. Our dog definitely loved his Woof Meat Balls. He also had his own dishware with water. It's nice to know a place like this has good food so you & your furry member can enjoy a good time together! They also have a little enclosed area out front for your pet to take a toilet break & a run.Voir plus

So happy to find this dog friendly brunch place! Dogs are allowed inside. Our dog enjoyed his doggie menu while we got to enjoy our delicious brunch! Coffee drinks were great & I loved the cappucino art-paw. There is also a small fenced area by the parking lot, where our dog got to run around after his meal :) cannot wait to be back!Voir plus

My wife Sophie, our little dog Kayla, & I had a delicious breakfast, & we were all treated like royalty, Kayla included!

I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience from our recent visit. First off, the chair I sat on broke & I fell on the floor. One of the female employees apologized which I appreciated & a fellow customer asked if I was ok.
The real disappointment came with the service & the beer my husband ordered. After a long wait, our waiter informed us that the keg needed changing as he brought my husband a Blue Moon. Fine, we understood that. However, after waiting 10 minutes after ordering, we finally got our drinks - & the beer was lukewarm & obviously from the bottom of the keg which tasted terrible. Not only was it warm, but it tasted flat as well, & we sent it back. The waiter apologized & took the drink away, which we appreciated at first.
But then, to our shock, when we finished our meal, the same exact beer that we sent back was brought back to my husband. It had been sitting on the counter as we were eating & keeping an eye on it the entire time. The waiter (light brown hair) didn't even check in on us to see how the meal was going or ask if we needed anything else. It felt like we were totally forgotten about.
Honestly, the lack of attention to detail & customer care left us really disappointed. The food was very good & the decor is beautiful but between the broken chair, the delayed drinks, & the repeated bad beer, this place just didn't deliver.Voir plus
