This was above & beyond what we expected from start to finish; if we could rate higher, we would. We order a bone-style birthday cake for our dog Nova's birthday, & it was absolutely stunning--could not believe how beautiful it was (&, of course, Nova devoured it, so it was probably delicious too). Ordering & pick-up was seamless & staff communicated perfectly throughout. Then we did brunch for a continued birthday celebration for Nova, & it was just perfect. From start to finish, everyone working made us feel so at home & welcome. Nova absolutely adored her experience & tasted pretty much the entire menu (again, 10/10, she gobbled everyting up). Sometimes restaurants rely on gimmicks, but this place certainly does not. As good as the doggy brunch & experience is, holy cow, the food was absolutely DELICIOUS, & the portions were so generous from start to finish & everything was so tasty. Will be back for more brunches, pool, & hotel services without a doubt. Thanks to everyone involved in making Nova's day so special!
I really wanted to like this place. I'm a dog lover, & the concept has enormous potential, but unfortunately the experience was very underwhelming.
The food was bland, dry & generally uninspired. The portions were shockingly small, particularly compared with the very Instagram-friendly photos on the menu, which I found quite misleading. What arrived was much less appetizing &, in some cases, just mushy. For the price, I left feeling somewhat fleeced.
The acoustics are also a serious problem. Even sitting directly beside the person I was with, it was difficult to have a conversation. The room is extremely loud, made worse by loud pop music playing on top of everything else. By the end, it was genuinely headache-inducing.
Service unfortunately compounded the problem. We were seated at a table that had not been properly cleared or set. My girlfriend had a water glass & a knife; I had nothing. After I pointed this out, I was brought a glass, but the water container at the table was left empty. We ordered cappuccinos, which only arrived after our food. My girlfriend asked for Tabasco & had to remind the server because it was forgotten. They also got her bread wrong too.
& the bathroom was horrible.
What makes this frustrating is that the place could be excellent. The concept is great & there is clearly a market for it. But management needs to address the basics: install proper sound dampening, turn down the music, add another server during busy periods, improve the food, & make the portions more reasonable for what is being charged.
There is a genuinely good restaurant hiding in here. Unfortunately, based on this visit, it isn't there yet.
This was the best find of our trip! We made reservations for when they first opened on a Friday because our two chihuahuas are rather selective with people. The staff couldn't have been any nicer or more accommodating! Both the human & dog menu were well crafted & DELICIOUS! The chef even brought our boys extra food (even after they were not so nice boys!) thank you so much for creating such an amazing place we could bring our boys!
Really fun restaurant! It was the first time we've ever dined indoors at a restaurant establishment with our dog. She was welcomed on the chairs & the design was so well thought out for the dogs. There were chains to attach her leash, & the staff brought her water. We also bought her a woof loaf which she downed in 2 seconds flat. The staff loved coming by to see her & they were so loving to the dogs. Lots of areas for nice photo ops as well & the restaurant had an area at the back, selling many treats & dog goodies. Plenty of free parking which was appreciated & patio seating as well. There's also a mini fenced grass area for dogs to potty after & cleaning supplies in the restaurant itself to clean after the dogs. The food itself for humans was pretty good & very aesthetic. Lots of options for drinks too! We got the bagel & avocado toast which was so fresh! The smiley usually breakfast option was good / not the best but good enough! The grilled cheese was also very interesting - too dense for our liking but we all licked our plates clean anyways. We would def come back!! The pool & dog area at the back seem very interesting to explore next time.
Wow! Belle découverte! J'ai bruché avec ma fille à quatre pattes comme si cela allait de soi. Quelle belle expérience! J'ai adoré. Le personnel est accueillant & chaleureux. La nourriture est délicieuse...
Ever since I started planning my trip to Montreal from Toronto, I had been looking forward to visiting Ruby. The staff were very friendly, & the food was beautifully presented & absolutely delicious. My dog was very happy & satisfied too!
A bit noisy & the food took a long time to come, but the service was really nice & polite & they make our experience better.
I recommend to pay attention to owners coming with difficult dogs to handle. I understand the barking & small encounters, but I got worried with owners that couldn't physically control their pets. It can be stressful...
