Shame on me! I went back to get my face slapped again. It used to be a decent place for a chicken meal. Now, they are running, their once good name, into the ground.

I stopped ordering here because of all the errors & missing products but someone had posted a review about the tenders, & was really impressed. So, I stupidly decided to give Au Coq another chance.
I got the tenders but they were far from tender, they were rock hard & completely burnt (cremated). I was gobsmacked that someone could put those tenders into a box & send them out to a customer, they obviously don't care at all. Then they don't send the two sauces. How did they expect me to get the charcoal down without lube? They actually charge 1.50$ per sauce so they effectively stole 3$ from me on top of the crappy food.
I am leaving this abusive relationship once & for all.
Ordered club sandwich from uber, sandwich was smaller than expected, the chicken inside were old, stale & dry. Delivery driver handed the boxes & it was cold as if it wasnt in a thermal bag & that he walked in the cold winter just holding the boxes. First bite & I got BIG CARTILAGE 3rd bite & i bit on a FRAGMENTED BONE, If my teeth started hurting & get cracked I will go after you. Heres a photo of the bone & cartilage from the first sandwich. Terrible experience. If I can give negative rating I would. Im typing this while husband is eating his & he just bit on another bone.

Best chicken I've had in Montreal but theirs a catch. You have to wait extremely long periods of time to get your order. They almost always forget something & they will credit you for next time. Wish they would fix their issues. Service is getting worse at this place. Closing early, not follow hours & lying to people about the hours of the establishment. Sucks when it's the only au coq Benny in the south of Montreal you can't even get service
Chicken got here cold & gooey waited more then 1h30 for my food to get here fries were soggy & not crispy & they gave me sausages instead of mozzarella sticks i would suggest you go somewhere else this place isnt what it used to be .
I ordered sweet potato fries with my order. With an extra charge of $2.89. I received them burnt. BURNT! The chicken was dry & the French fries were overcooked. The wrap was full of mayonnaise & very little chicken. So disappointed!
I tried the new chicken tenders twice now & they were excellent. The first time I only tried the tenders alone with a roast chicken meal & I was wowed. Tonight I tried the chicken tenders meal with waffle fries & sauces & it was even better. Photo shows the sizes of the tenders. They were exceptional. Best tenders I've ever had. Blows away KFC, Jack & all the rest. They need to sort out their sauces but the chicken & waffle fries were on point. Knowing the uneven service with this establishment I can't say for sure if the quality will remain if these become popular (they are made fresh) but for now I'm enjoying these.
I went there to buy chicken & I asked for the chicken for 2 people & I bought an extra large sauce witch i recived & I also bought a large fry but I didnot recive any lage fry witch made me sad but other than that the food was really good if i go there again i will not be buying any extra stuff cause its a waist of money espically when you dont get what you paid for anyways

A Verdun classic..best chicken ever, if you pick up. Ask for delivery, it won't be hot. It'll be steamed fries & maybe warm chicken. C'etait le fleuron de Verdun. Cependant, pour avoir votre repas chaud & frais, il faudra aller le chercher toi-meme car, a la livraison, les frites sont figés & la viande tiede.
This is the third time that I have ordered from this particular Benny & Au Coq. I have throat cancer & can not eat frrnch fries. Each time I have asked for the mashed potatoes option instead of French fries, each time french fries come & no mashed potatoes. When you call the store yiu can tell 1) they don't care 2) it happens ALL the time because before you can even finish your sentence about the issue with your order, they are telling you that Uber will deal with your issues & issue any refunds, they don't care nor can they do anything to make it better. Absolutely rude & uncaring. Unkess you want soggy fries & that's what you want with your chicken, I wouldn't order any sides at all. Absolutely disgusting & two thumbs down 👎 👎
Si vous voulez une mega poutine au poulet- commandez de LaSalle Drive-In a la place. Vous allez payer $11.75 au lieu de $20,20. En plus, chez LaSalle Drive-In, elle s'appelle la 'large' & non la mega - & elle est plus pesante. Nous sommes vraiment decu.
If you feel like ordering a mega chicken poutine from this restaurant at $20.20 = stop, Order from LaSalle Drive-In instead, it'll cost you $11,75 for a large, which is heavier than the one at Au Coq. We were very disappointed.
