For over 16 years, Chalet Bar-B-Q has been my go-to spot for consistently amazing & fresh food. The quality hasn't wavered a bit through the years, maintaining their high standards that first drew me in. Every visit reaffirms my love for their perfectly cooked, flavorful dishes. The restaurant looks very nice & inviting. The problem with the tables is that they cannot very well accommodate 4 people & they have a limited number of big tables. The food is nice. I recommend the chicken breast over chicken legs because the leg was small & very fatty. We went there a little late & we think this why the fries were stale. Some of the staff, especially the lady that served us, were very nice & friendly. For the price & quality of service, I think it's a good deal.Voir plus
When you walk up to this place, you can tell that it stands on decades of tradition & reputation. Starting with the retro street sign which you never see for restaurants anymore, & the building style from the exterior. It is physically built to feel like a Chalet in the city. The prices are reasonable, amazing that they've been able to stay in business all these years while charging reasonable prices - other restaurant-owners, take note! Turns out, serving the same dish for 80 years results in masterful perfection. Every part of the quarter chicken dinner was delicious & well-balanced. The gravy really has a rich, fantastic flavour that compliments the chicken very well. The food doesn't take too long to come out either. Service here is great too.Voir plus

One should note that the dinning room closes at 9PM. Only takeout section is open till 10PM. Chalet Bar-B-Q is what your Anthony Bourdain dreams are made of! Only a handful of places like this scream "Montreal" like Céline Dion. Chalet puts St-Hubert chicken & french fries to shame. I came in for dinner the other day & really enjoyed the food as usual however my waitress, Anne Marie, ruined the evening for me. I ate my meal in the dining room & then ordered some take out & she had the gall to tell me I didn't tip her enough based on the total bill! I explained to her that I had tipped her for serving me in the dining room but she didn't have any involvement with my take-out order so she shouldn't expect a tip for that. She seemed to be pleasant at first but then her greedy side came out. I won't be going back there again! Unfortunately it takes one bad experience to make you forget about the good ones.Voir plus
