I think my wife & I caught the restaurant on an off night. I went with the burger, & my wife took the pasta dish, which both looked great on Instagram. My burger was overcooked, dry, & tasteless, which included the bun falling apart into pieces right from the first bite. My wife's pasta had no flavour & was very acidic. Unfortunately, she vomited twice from the acidity & spent the night on the couch 🤷♂️. Word of advice: Instead of having the owner check in on his wife's dining experience every 2 mins, he probably should have been keeping a closer eye on the food the kitchen was pumping out (we sat right next to them).Voir plus

Food was overall salty. I took the shrimp salad which was covered by sauce was ok & the fish to salty my friend took the pasta they said the meat was too salty in the pasta. Service was ok the server was nice but barely came we always had to ask for him to a point we had a friend in the restaurant we had to text him to come to us! At the beginning he took the order of only my friend & didn't bother to ask the rest of the table what we wantedVoir plus

We had a nice meal at Romies last week. We were in Montreal for vacation & dinner at Romies was one of the highlights of our trip. The atmosphere was cozy, food was delicious,but what impressed us the most is our waiter Felix. He was not only polite & friendly you can tell he genuinely loved his job & had his customers best interest in mind. He gave us great recommendations from the menu. After finding out it's our first time in Montreal he took time giving us information about local attractions, places worth visiting & where we should go for brunch the next day. 5 star all around. The vibe was immaculate, the food was fantastic & the service was attentive & personal. Been looking for a restaurant like this in Montreal & it definitely exceeded my expectations. The pasta alla zazzona & citrus fish starter were my favourite! The bartenders were knowledgeable & so fun to watch & cocktails were probably some of the best we've experienced ever (& we've travelled all over the world)👌 Do not skip on this restaurant!!!Voir plus

Service was great, we went at 6pm on a Friday night & they weren't as busy yet so staff were very attentive & polite. We had the grilled peppers & cold fish to start, would recommend both, especially the grilled peppers as the flavours were more interesting. I had the pasta alla zonzzona which was delicious, my boyfriend had the bbq ribs. Good portion size for both. Fries were expensive($14) & I felt they were overcooked & we had a lot of short bits under the first layer of decent fries. We had the blackout choco cake to share which was more salty than sweet. I love desserts typically but personally I would skip this next time.Voir plus

Vraiment mais Vraiment un endroit à découvrir, la ou certains plats connus y sont surprenaments révisités & c'est tout simplement délicieux ! Tout cela agrémenter d'une atmosphère convivial mais classis! Service hors pair & qualité supérieure des produits servis! Another restaurant running just on vibes & no substance to have you going back. It wasn't a good experience for us. Waited half an hour to be seated in our booked seats & another 45m to get mediocre food with premium pricing. The cherry on top was a rude waiter with an attitude asking us weren't you supposed to leave already? - while we were eating & despite us having to wait for their delays in every item ordered, including the table itself. We had high hopes for this place but unfortunately left with a bitter taste.Voir plus

We arrived on time. Very POOR greeting. Host asked us for our name. No welcome or anything. Just we need the table back in two hours. That's never a problem unless the restaurant is slow.. We eat out every week & never had such an unfriendly greeting. Especially since this was our first visit. Our server Valentin was amazing. Food was good & came steaming hot which is not always the case. The other annoying factor. We were at one of the Two Tops behind the bar. Only two were occupied & two were set. Staff were lazy & kept coming by & taking the cutlery off the table. This happened a few times & it was annoying. In any other restaurant staff would go to cutlery drawer. ROMIES should realize that when people eat out it's the WHOLE experience that counts. Need improvement in these areas.Voir plus
