We got Red Velvet & Key Lime, which were really good & the slices were huge. I like a bit more sour tang in my Key Lime Pie but it was nice to try something different. I took home a slice of the Rockafetti cake & it's delicious. It's very heavy, both the icing & the cake, which is my favourite kind of cake & so hard to find. I'm kind of devastated that I won't be able to get it in Ontario. We also got the the Blueberry Crumb Cheese but I haven't tried it yet
It's the second time I went there. The cheesecakes are delicious but if you are looking for a lime pie, that's not the place. It has a strong tastes & smell of cinnamon & nothing of lime.
Extremely sweet & not sour as I spectre to be
Rockaberry is OG, the boston cream & strawberry shortcake pies are my favourite! No one else makes desserts like them
The most delicious pies ever!! My favourite is the apple crumble cheesecake, it's crazy good.
***Read till the end*** It's not my first time at this location but let me tell you my quick story. I ordered the 4 cheese pasta dish at dinner time & I was quite shocked by what was served. Literally 3 pastas that are not much bigger than an Oreo cookie. So be careful of this menu item. I'm not in a position to discuss the quality vs the price but for a coffee shop/diner type of restaurant I was expecting much more for 25$. Anyways, I brought my concern to my server, she took back my plate & I was able to choose something else. So as far as I'm concerned I was really well taken care of. The pies were as usual very very good. dessert portions were generous & coffee on point. So for this I still think that it's deserving of a 4 stars.
Hands down some of the best cakes/pies I've had. The room is just a little too dark for my liking & almost feels like the store is closed. Nonetheless, highly recommended. 👌
I usually do a bit more research when I'm traveling to avoid food disappointments, but I'm so glad I took a chance on this spot after a quick Google search near where we had dinner. I'm beyond happy I stumbled upon it! I'd read a few reviews saying it had the "best cheesecake ever," & honestly, I didn't believe them at first-but now I totally get it. This cheesecake was hands down one of the best I've ever had. The portion was massive, & the flavors were absolutely incredible. They had so many tempting options, it was hard to choose just one! I do wish they had a "pie flight" so I could sample a few different slices (because it was that good). On top of the amazing desserts, the service was fantastic! Our server was so friendly & attentive-she really added to the overall experience. Honestly, I'd drive from Ottawa just for this dessert, & I'd bring some home too! Highly recommend-this place is a must-try for anyone with a sweet tooth!
I recently visited Rockaberry in Montreal's Griffintown, & I must say, the experience was delightful. The strawberry & chocolate pies were outstanding-easily some of the best I've ever tasted. The place itself has a warm & cozy atmosphere, perfect for relaxing & enjoying a sweet treat. While the ambiance was inviting, it did seem that there were not enough staff to manage the tables during the time I visited, which slightly affected the service speed. However, as you can see from the photos, my friend also thoroughly enjoyed the visit. I would definitely recommend Rockaberry to anyone looking for a great dessert spot in the city.
Not only do they make the best pies but if you want a birthday cake that's going to wow everybody get theirs
This place deserves so much appreciation! One of the few places in Montreal that is a cafe, a decadent dessert place, a restaurant with great variety of food (always delicious & feel-fresh) & a bar at the same time. I can go pretty much anytime a day & have anything that's on my mind. Shoutout to the staff, always helpful & kind, & to the chefs for the tasty meals & pies.
We stopped by Rockaberry after dinner for dessert & coffee. The atmosphere was amazing inside & we were immediately welcomed when we entered. The pies, cakes & desserts looked so good & were presented so nicely it was hard to choose which ones to get. Shortly after we arrived we were seated & service was great. We tried a few of the pie options & loved them all. Rockaberry is a great place to visit after dinner for dessert or just for a bite anytime. I'll be back next time I'm in town.
I've been only once, ordered a slice of pie to go. Service was quick, staff was friendly & the key lime pie was delicious, it was a big slice too. I want to go back & try more.
I got some slices to go: the caramel cheesecake, the key lime pie, & the hazelnut chocolate pie. The food was delicious & the staff were courteous & efficient.
I tried bananalicious & rockabrownie pies. They were amazing! Would definitely recommend. The biggest disappointment was the service. We only ordered pies, hot chocolate & a milkshake. But, we had to wait longer than usual to get seated (even when there were many vacant seats) & we noticed our order waiting at the counter for too long. Also, the hot chocolate was a little too sweet for me.
For the past 7 years, I've loved getting pies from Rockaberry. The pies were tasty & impressive in size - all a gal could ask for! Sadly, on my latest visit, I brought my sister from out of town to get a piece of pie for her boyfriend & was beyond bummed when we got home & saw the size of the pie was super underwhelming (read: disappointing). We got a piece of the raspberry fudge cheese, & I am still on the hunt for the rest of the fudge portion that seemingly did not make it into the container 🤨 I don't think the pictures do justice to how small this slice felt, but if I were to describe it, I'd say it's Rockaberry's take on a two-bite brownie 😢 Anywho, my cravings will likely bring me back cause the pies are oh so tasty, but I'll have to mentally prepare to be sad about the portion size in advance. The staff was super nice & friendly as always, it just seems that the portion sizes have dramatically changed.
