Can't go wrong with Rockaberry. Had the famous keylime & a carot cake.
The spot is nice, bigger than the one i usually go on Monkland but the service wasn't there for me. Took a bit of time to get seated.
We were a bit pushed out towards the end & pressured with getting something else or the bill. We had small table & they were less 50% capacity for most of the time i was there.
This isn't Tim Hortons.. this is where i catch up with friends over cake, coffee & refills.
We stopped by Rockaberry after dinner for dessert & coffee. The atmosphere was amazing inside & we were immediately welcomed when we entered. The pies, cakes & desserts looked so good & were presented so nicely it was hard to choose which ones to get. Shortly after we arrived we were seated & service was great. We tried a few of the pie options & loved them all. Rockaberry is a great place to visit after dinner for dessert or just for a bite anytime. I'll be back next time I'm in town.
After a day of walking about Montreal & eating copious amounts of food throughout the day I wanted to do some desserts later in the afternoon. Not a full meal, just something to carry me through the evening. This place was a close walk to Old Montreal & came up on the search results. A great smaller place with a patio. I ate inside & had a great conversation with with our server. English is definitely NOT a problem for travellers to the area that struggle with ordering in French. I had the Keylime pie & my wife had the Apple Crumble Pie & an Americano, The food was great, the service was quick, the place was clean, & definitely NOT crazy expensive, A great place for a snack or stop for slowly having a coffee & dessert.
Come for the pies, & get it for takeout. We always reorder Apple Crumb cheese. We also like the Oreo cheesecake, Raspberry Fudge or the Caramel fudge cheese. The only Rockaberry spot in the area, therefore, it can get pretty busy. Service is very detached & rushed. Not friendly, not the best around. The food itself is very salty, the coffee cocktails are decent but I would not order again. Ambiance is average.
The cake was amazing & the place has a great ambiance. The waitress was really nice & attentive. I would definitely come back to try the other cakes. The coffee was okay, but I guess that's a matter of taste.
Rockaberry is a hidden gem for dessert lovers! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by the tantalizing aroma of freshly baked treats. The quaint atmosphere & cozy seating make it the perfect spot for a sweet escape.
The menu boasts an impressive variety of desserts, each more tempting than the last. Their signature pies are a true standout. The crust is flaky perfection, & the fillings burst with flavor. I couldn't resist trying the classic apple pie & was blown away by its deliciousness.
The staff at Rockaberry is friendly & knowledgeable, always ready to recommend a dessert that suits your taste buds. The service was prompt, & my order arrived at the table with a beautiful presentation.
What sets Rockaberry apart is their dedication to using high-quality, fresh ingredients. You can taste the difference in every bite. Whether you have a penchant for pies, cakes, or tarts, Rockaberry has something to satisfy every sweet tooth.
Additionally, their beverage selection complements the desserts perfectly. I highly recommend pairing your treat with a cup of their aromatic coffee or a soothing herbal tea.
The only downside is the limited seating, so it's advisable to arrive early, especially during peak hours. But trust me, the experience is worth every moment spent waiting.
In conclusion, Rockaberry is a dessert haven that delivers on taste, quality, & atmosphere. It's become my go-to spot for indulging in sweet cravings. I can't wait to return & try more of their delectable offerings. Don't miss out on this delightful slice of heaven!
Nice place to go for some good coffee & desserts. This place was recommended by one of our friends. We ordered two coffees, a Mochamisu, an apple crumble & a vegetable nacho plate. Coffee was good. We liked the Apple Crumble more than the Mochamisu. So, definitely recommend the apple crumble. The nachos were good as well.
The place is nice. Very good interiors. A little dark though. The service is a little slow. Even when we entered the cafe it took some time for one of the staff members to notice us. So, have plenty of time at your disposal.
There is a paid street parking on both sides of the road. It might be a little tricky to find, but mostly you should get the spot within 500 m in either direction.
Overall, I would still recommend this. I would probably have one more visit to try something else as well since they have a very large menu.
