Réservation à 19h, présent à 19h, on nous fait attendre 20 minutes avant d'avoir notre table. Première chose que la serveuse nous dit c'est:'je sais pas si vous savez comment ça fonctionne dans un restaurant, mais ce sont des blocs de 2h, alors vous avez réservé pour 19h, donc à 21h vous devrez quitter'. Pardon ? Je comprend ton terme de'bloc de 2h', mais en quoi ton retard de me donner une table 20 minutes plus tard doit nous impacter ?
La serveuse est venue nous couper à 2 ou 3 reprises pour nous mettre de la pression:'pour info, vous allez recevoir les entrées, mais les plats principaux vont arriver rapidement après car on doit enchaîner'.
À l'arrivé des plats principaux, ce n'était pas le bon plat, évidemment un Risotto ne se prépare pas en 1 minute. Mais pourquoi prends-tu la peine d'avoir un bloc note pour noter nos plats & tu apportes le mauvais plat ? Résultat, le Risotto est arrivé 10-12 minutes plus tard.
Je ne sais pas si vous'over booker' votre resto, car mêmes les hôtesses semblent dépassés par les événements quand ils doivent faire attendre des gens pendant trop longtemps dans le minuscule entrée.
Je suis désolé, mais pour ce genre de resto, le service doit y être impeccable & les clients ne devraient pas ressentir'l'urgence' de devoir quitter lorsqu'ils ont finalement leur table. Nous allons au resto 2 fois semaine, & jamais nous avons eu un service de la sorte.
Je penses que c'était de loin ma meilleur expérience culinaire sur Montréal ! J'y suis allée avec mon compagnon dans le cadre de Montréal à table. Les plats étaient excellents & copieux & le service était très conviviale, au petit soin & naturel. Il y avait du monde mais on parvenait à discuter sans problème Je recommande les yeux fermés !

HOLY GUACCC this food was amazing. I went for a business meeting & I offered my food up for everyone to try because I thought it was the ultimate seller 😂😂 Literally, this food helps close deals. Also the olive oil dessert was so 🤤
The food at Rita was good, we tried a pizza, a pasta, & an appetizer, & everything was tasty, though nothing particularly memorable. The potato millefeuille, however, deserves a special mention, it was excellent.
The ambiance is cute & cozy, with more of a family-style feel than a trendy one. For one appetizer, one pizza, one pasta, two desserts, & a bottle of wine, our bill came to about $200 including tip, which felt reasonable for what we got.
The service was okay, our server was friendly, but couldn't answer our questions about the wine list, which was a bit disappointing.
The biggest downside was being asked to leave exactly two hours after our reservation started. I know the policy is mentioned when booking, but it was the first time I've been asked to leave before even finishing my glass of wine. The restaurant was half empty, but since we were seated at the bar, we still had to go.
Overall: good food & pleasant ambiance, but the service & overall experience could definitely be improved.
I'd been wanting to try this place for a while, & I wasn't disappointed. The menu looks amazing & it's hard to choose. We shared the tuna tartare to start, super fresh & delicious. For mains, we had the Verdun Hot Honey pizza, which was generous & tasty, & the gnocchi in a squash mornay sauce. The sauce was incredible, especially with the stracciatella & pistachios on top. A really rich, well-balanced dish.
The downside: the gnocchi themselves were heavy & doughy, not light at all. More like dense balls of pasta, which was disappointing.
& the cocktails… we had the raspberry passion one, & honestly, it barely tasted like it had alcohol in it…maybe a drop. Pretty underwhelming for the price.
Would I go back? Yes, because the food overall was excellent.
We had a great experience here. The food was very good & lives up to the hype. The menu is medium sized diverse in flavors. The service is very good. Servers are working together so you are never looking for anyone. Dessert should not be skipped. The olive oil cake is incredible. I would have liked a few more cocktail options but the wine list is big. The space is get pretty & the background noise isn't intrusive so you can easily catch up & chat.
