Not normally a fan of Italian food but this place was incredible. Calamari entre was fresh & not heavily breaded. The main dish of braised lamb with a variety of vegetables was absolutely Devine. Very generous portion & cooked to perfection.

Felt like you were at Nonna & Nonno & dining with family.

Best Restaurant for pizza in Vimont Laval
OOHHHHH. WOW...Corneli
la pizza di famiglia...i nostri fratelli italiani
The best italian restaurant in Laval! The food is amazing & fresh, & they probably serve the best mussels in town. They also have lots of gluten free & vegetarian options. Thanks a lot to Miranda for the amazing service. We will be back!
Service is fine,as for everything else not so much.Under cooked calamari, chicken on the dry side with that sauce they drowned on to it.Had pasta,,sauce to much acidity As for salad, don't care for it.Anti pasto was fine along with the grilled sauceges.Overall not going back much better Italian restaurants than this one. Also the damn A.C. wasn't working, freaking hot in there.
Authentic Italian food from actual nonnas, pasta al dente to perfection, excellent service!!
But once a month I come up to Laval to have lunch with my dear old buddy Angelo & we've met in downtown Montreal at the cornelli there. & of course it's a wonderful place steeped in historical references & the famous imported stove from Italy rebuilt brick by brick. They tell me with that rotating motor for the pizzas on the bottom. I'm a pizza fanatic. & Angelo is the previous restaurant owner of an Italian restaurant that wasn't very cheap at all. Like 25 years ago I paid $55 for lunch at his place & he slipped us & a pair of teeth for free. So here I am at cornelli's & Angelo tells me they opened up one in Laval & that he went with his wife who loves pizza & it was really good. I joined him. The place was surprisingly attractive or something so basically square footage cubicle with a little bit of dense for the pizza area where they have a similar stove but more modernized, for their pizza making. But on the same principle of rotation. Rotation. Sat near the pizza place area so I could see the stove. The staff was fast & pleasant enough though. Highly functional as the place was quite busy & just for lunch on Friday. I think it probably could be busier but it was a sunny day & I'm sure people were not thinking they should sit inside at some restaurant. Then again other people like us said great day to go to where restaurant & they didn't disappoint at all. The pizza was perfect. Angelo pointed out to crust at the end while I made the points about the bottom of the pizza being cooked sufficiently & not soft or doughy. On top Angelo preferred his to mine & so did I because I took the basic only the one named after the restaurant & it's okay & it's probably the cheapest pizza. Joy lesser ingredients perhaps.. But overall very good indeed. Quality of food & service McLendliness of the restaurant...
.
The pros & cons I found were only one thing. Because by the way, there was parking right near the front door for handicapped & that helps me a lot. & there was one slot available for me just to the left of the front doors. Thank you for having that handicap parking, Dear Cornelli restaurant...
The one thing that I noticed right away which was a little bit stressful compared to the downtown Cornelli. Was that downtown? The structure absorbs sound quite well, whereas the Laval one has a lot of reflective sound & the acoustics for a non-full restaurant were a little bit challenging to hear both the waitresses & my buddy Angelo
Compared to a restaurant I used to go to in the West Island of Montreal In a Famiglia & cie., now close due to the covid-19 epidemic.... If anybody knows where they've reopened if at all. Tony & Frank & Giovanni running the place with a great staff. Let me know & I'll go anywhere they are... But they had challenged acoustics as well. They did put in some acoustic tiles & some low-hanging low light lamps & they are always packed. Thursday, Friday, Saturday only open though for suppers.. but full to the hills
.
They're acoustics also were not the greatest but they made a bit of effort to put in some absorption but table to table pretty close together full of people. They going to have acoustic issues.
This Cornelli isn't as squished in their seating arrangement as La famglia was set up to be but their acoustics for even a less than half full restaurant were somewhat challenging. That's both good & bad
. The excitement of a busy, noisy restaurant adds to some of the ambience. It also gets rid of customers who won't linger around a lot like the old McDonald's formula of it may look comfortable & good & welcoming, but the chairs are designed to not have you sit there too long. Sort of thing.
.
Be that as in May the restaurant was set up in an attractive manner with a great staff & a excellent menu & the pizzas were very good. I will go there again. I will order pizza again & I will try other types of pizza. Just having lunch with Angelo in Laval
.
Actually, we're scheduled to meet next Friday, at the downtown Cornelli. 🌟✨👍
Great option for Italian cuisine in Laval. Our party was taken care of by the lovely Sandra, who made the best pizza recommendation of the night!
The decor is very nice, the atmosphere is great with some Italian music, the service is fast & excellent, but they also try to clean the table quickly, even if there is food on the plate, the waiter asks you if you are finished & the plate is full. As for the food, it is not the best in the town, but it is good & delicious, & the price is okay.
Best service & best authentic Italian food. A must try restaurant, the best waitress is Stephanie by far!!
Absolutely delicious experience at Corneli Laval! The lamb shank was incredibly tender & full of rich flavors, cooked to perfection. The wood-fired pizza was also a highlight-crispy, fresh, & loaded with quality ingredients. The ambiance was warm & inviting, & the service was friendly & attentive. Definitely a must-visit for authentic Italian food in Laval!
Very nice deco from what was before. Service was great Sadly, the food was absolutely disappointing for all of the members that tried the restaurant. Small portions (pizza paper thin, no crust, calamari bowl the size of a small soup, etc) ... Rarely do I go to an italian restaurant like industria, centro, gatomato & feel hungry after, well I did here. We all agreed that all of the items needed salt. The first time my dad ever put salt on his pasta regardless of the restaurant. We were so excited to have a new restaurant in the neighborhood but sadly we won't be coming back
Came during the opening week & had an amazing experience. Staff, food, drinks & atmosphere were fantastic. Can't wait to come back & enjoy more authentic Italian food in the area!
