I recently visited Corneli with my girlfriend. I ordered the Vitello alla Parmigiana with vegetables & potatoes, while she chose the Linguini alle Vongole.
Unfortunately, my veal dish was a big disappointment. The potatoes were floury & unpleasant to eat, the carrots were fine, but the green vegetables tasted frozen, something I notice right away & personally don't enjoy. The tomato sauce was good, but the veal itself was overwhelmed by the flour coating, making it hard to really taste the meat.
My girlfriend's linguini dish was better overall. However, the clams were not cleaned properly, so there was sand in them, which is a big drawback for a seafood dish.
On the positive side, before our meals arrived, we were served complimentary Italian bread (similar to focaccia) with spices & pepper. It wasn't too strong & was very enjoyable. Honestly, it ended up being better than my main dish. We received only one slice because I took the picture late, but normally they serve four or five slices, which is a nice touch.
Each dish was $32, & with tax & tip, the total came to around $80-$90 for two. Given the quality, I find it quite expensive.
Main takeaway: Corneli seems like a better choice if you stick to pasta, which they do well (though my girlfriend's dish could have been improved by properly cleaning the clams). I would definitely avoid the vegetable-&-potato option & go for the homemade pasta instead. Overall, I'd call it a so-so restaurant: not terrible, but not one I'd rush back to for veal.Voir plus
A comfortable setting in the heart of Montréal's Little Italy. The food was delicious, the service was great & the prices were reasonable. I got the Veal Scalopini & my wife got the Lasagna. Each was well prepared & cooked to perfection. The staff was friendly & kept our glasses full. I highly recommend this place & area over St. Catherine St.Voir plus
I had a reservation for my birthday at 20:30 confirmed one week before. As soon as I got in the waitress already come to ask if we were ready & I was waiting for the rest of my guests. She returned a couple of minutes later to inform: the kitchen is closed but we are gonna take your order either way, like, I'm sorry? How do you accept a reservation & the kitchen closes 30 minutes later? Anyway, order made & the stars is literally cleaning everything, a lot of movement to close the restaurant 🤡 If you close the kitchen at this time, is not interesting to the client to accept reservations 30 minutes before. It was not a good experience principally on my birthday & with 7 guests being rushed like thisVoir plus

Food was very good but we didn't have the best experience. We were served by karmi & he wasn't very attentive. Very careless service. we had better service from the busgirl. We arrived at 8h15, no one came to see us before 8h40. We had to ask if we can order drinks & we later had to ask if we could order our meals.
It was also very hot. We asked multiple times if we could move outside. They said no problem but kept disregarding our request.Voir plus
Good: We had vegetarian Pasta & pizza & some drinks. Pasta was good, pizza was lacking veggies but fresh oven backed crust was nice. Wine & Mango margaritas were good.
Bad: two of the drinks we ordered didn't have simple syrup so very sour. I told the waiter that this & he said they won't charge. But they charged. We asked for more bread, it was done! Salads were ok, could be dressed well & noticed some ingredients from list missing or barely there! Pretty noisy & tight spaced place.Voir plus

My father & I visited Montreal a couple summers ago & our favorite thing we ate on our two week trip in Canada was your pappardelle al ragu in bianco. We have talked non stop about how delicious the dish was, thank you for an amazing memory & great food!
Un bon italien comme on les aimes! Portions généreuses & du goût dans l'assiette

Fantastic meal this past weekend. We had no reservation but after waiting, was able to get a table on the street terrace which has a great ambiance. Service from Ryan was excellent. We had the salmon with guacamole which gave a nice fresh take to grilled salmon. Our other dish was the lamb shank which was cooked to perfection & fell off the bone. The roasted vegetables as a side dish of each were cooked perfectly & well seasoned. Portion size was generous & filling. With a Sangria the total came to $80 which for two is extremely reasonable especially for the location & quality of the food. Highly recommended.Voir plus
Great food, the toasted crusty bread with peppers & oil (hot) was a nice touch. The ravioli was awesome although a bit too rich for me. The crab cakes were outstanding, the best we've ever had.Voir plus

I aint gonna front, I couldn't read a thing on the menu so I kinda just had to go off the pictures. They gave me the hon hon hon menu instead of the freedom-loving english menu, but I'll let that slide because that meat lovers pizza I ordered (I think it was meatlovers idk I couldn't read it) was next level.
I loved that they actually got all their ingredients in-house! That means all the meat came from live animals, that 5 star rating on atmosphere comes from the fact you can hear unspeakable animal cruelties happening back in the kitchen. My wife had a constant look on her face like she was in a state of fight or flight, but personally I loved the vibes.
I also asked for a silly straw for my drink & by god, they did it! They actually did it! I wanted to test the limits of their customer service, so I asked (demanded) that they put on'A Serbian Film' on the only TV they had in the building, & they did it! Me & the wife got to watch the entire thing start to finish with all the other customers & staff as we ate. Some people walked out but thats ok, the girls that get it get it.
Also I may or may not have planted incriminating evidence on one of the workers & they very clearly saw me do it but didn't say anything. That might be because of the knife I had held up close to their chest as I did it so they didnt think to scream out for help but I like to think it was because they were just happy to make a loving customer happy. I respect that!
Anyways I took an upper decker in the toilet & didn't pay before leaving. Great place, go give it a try!Voir plus
