Review Summary

Resto Los Planes is described as a warm, authentic Salvadoran spot in Montreal with generous portions, affordable prices, and a menu centered on pupusas, horchata, tamales, and other comforting staples. The staff are commonly praised for friendliness and attentiveness and the atmosphere is described as welcoming and homely, with fast service in many visits yet some notes that at times service can be slower. The pupusas are the highlight for many, cited as large, well filled, and full of flavor, with several noting it as one of the best pupuserias in town; others mention the texture or corn flour as a potential area for improvement and a few reported issues such as odd tastes on sides or items missing from takeout orders. The drinks and sides, including horchata and cabbage slaw, are repeatedly mentioned as well balanced and refreshing, and the menu sometimes includes Mexican picks alongside traditional Salvadoran dishes. Overall, it is seen as a strong, authentic, generous, and affordable option in Montreal, with a warm staff and a few caveats to keep in mind about consistency and value.

I go there all the time. I think they have the best pupusas in town, & I've tried them everywhere. Except for the tacos (pretty bad, barely warm tortilla that tears when you pick it up) the food is great. Their nachos are also the best I've tried in Montreal, nothing to do with gross nachos from a bar.

Service is slow, the waitresses can't define well their priorities. They will spend a longtime at the cash while food is ready to go to the table. They should always take the food first & then everything, before it's cold. Or they stare at the TV show while you want a glass of water.

Anyways, just don't get tacos & you're fine. Very authentic & great food.

Le restaurant fait de très bonnes pupusas. Le service est cordial.
Cela vaut la peine (qualité-prix). Ce n'est pas cher ! Je le recommande.
