Resto Los Planes is described as a warm, authentic Salvadoran spot in Montreal with generous portions, affordable prices, and a menu centered on pupusas, horchata, tamales, and other comforting staples. The staff are commonly praised for friendliness and attentiveness and the atmosphere is described as welcoming and homely, with fast service in many visits yet some notes that at times service can be slower. The pupusas are the highlight for many, cited as large, well filled, and full of flavor, with several noting it as one of the best pupuserias in town; others mention the texture or corn flour as a potential area for improvement and a few reported issues such as odd tastes on sides or items missing from takeout orders. The drinks and sides, including horchata and cabbage slaw, are repeatedly mentioned as well balanced and refreshing, and the menu sometimes includes Mexican picks alongside traditional Salvadoran dishes. Overall, it is seen as a strong, authentic, generous, and affordable option in Montreal, with a warm staff and a few caveats to keep in mind about consistency and value.
Je vais donner un 5 étoiles puisque notre assiette terre & mer était bien mais les pupusas étaient absolument délicieuses alors un 4* ne rendrait pas justice. Merci de m'avoir fait aimer enfin ce joyau de la culture salvadorienne!

I go to this place regularly & I will be completely honest here. The food is delicious, amazing combos & the taste is just divine, no complaints at all about the food, but the waiting time is an issue sometimes. It takes more than 30 minutes & the last couple of times I've been there, we've had to call the waitress to remind her about missing food, but because the waiting time is usually long we never know if she forgot or it's just taking long, also the food is not served all at once, you get some stuff first & the rest may or may not come a dozen of minutes later. Also, my boyfriend & I like to mix flavours, we always wait till everything is on the table, so it takes a long time so we can finally eat.

Dec 2023: came here as part of a food tour. Pupusa was good. Horchata could have been better, like more cinnamon maybe. 2022: The parillada barbecue was delicious, especially the steak & pork chop. The refried beans were pretty good considering I dislike them at other places. The loroco & loca pupusas were tasty. Packaging was disappointing though. All styrofoam containers, & tied up snack bags for sauces & coleslaw. The styrofoam was leaking too.
