With our 10 years of reputation in catering service and being among the best in the Montreal region, we are proud to announce the opening of our new restaurant.
We have worked to package our meals so that you can enjoy the quality of our dishes at home. We always love to welcome you in person, but even when that's not possible, we make sure your dining experience is top-notch.
We refuse to compromise on quality in our restaurant. That's why we source our fresh ingredients from local farmers' markets. No matter the season, you can be sure to taste the best of it.
Reviews for Restaurant Yum & Shine describe fresh ingredients and a bold blend of authentic Yunnan Chinese cuisine with Southeast Asia fusion, delivering flavors that feel both traditional and inventive. Guests praise generous portions and dishes that are rarely toned down for local tastes, noting rich broths, tender meats, and textures in the noodles. Many say the dining experience is defined by vibrant, aromatic flavors and a chili oil that adds depth to several dishes. Service is described as friendly and attentive, though some Sundays experience slower pacing and longer waits for noodles. Ordering is often done on a phone via QR code, which some appreciate for speed and convenience, while others prefer more traditional service. A few critical notes exist, including a dish that caused numbness in the mouth with no clear warning on the menu, highlighting the need for clearer notices. Overall, the restaurant is seen as a standout option in the area, offering authentic flavors, generous portions, and good value. Several reviews mention the welcoming staff, clean interior, and the benefit of unlimited tea refills. With a mix of Yunnan staples and inventive creations, this spot is described as a hidden gem and a must try for lovers of Chinese cuisine.
Unforgettable experience, the environment is great with their eco friendly & artistically interior design. The food is authentic not white Chinese food. Most recommended: spicy beef & the signature'cross bridge' soup noodle.
The only regret is that it's too far from my home, & you might have to wait for a table during peak hours. If I hadn't happened to pass through Laval, I probably wouldn't have had the courage to make a special trip just to eat rice noodles (the traffic in Montreal is really terrible!).
Food was fine, but the service was very slow. On a Sunday morning, we waited about 30 minutes for our noodles, & the second dish came 10-15 minutes after the first.
I've been a client for years even before this restaurant was opened. All their plates are tasty, some are authentic from Yunnan, a province in the southwest part of china, & some are'southeast Asia fusion creation' of the owners, they all are truly delicious 🤤 I live far but every time I m in Laval this is my must go place. All fresh ingredients, no pre-made frozen meals ever. Love 💕 recommend if you love Thai , Cambodian or Vietnamese food !
Had dinner with friends at this restaurant. We tried several appetizers & some noodle dishes & they were all tasty. Our favorite was the Spicy Rice Noodle With Braised Pork & Beef.
Very good! Got beef rice noodle (ramen) with extra braised pork & the fries, delicious.
Good portion, good service, highly recommend, will absolutely repeat.

Hands down for best Yunnan / Chinese restaurant if you want local original Chinese food. The food is awesome & portion is very generous for the reasonable price. Highly recommend!
Best restaurant in Montreal -the rice noodle is even better than Toronto's, & the soup tastes so good. All of my family loves the food here, definitely recommend!
I've been to a lot of Chinese restaurants, but this one stands out. The menu items are very unique & delicious, with flavour combinations I've never tasted before.
One of the friendly owners who served us said they don't just make the mediocre Chinese food, they come up with their own unique menu
Sérieusement, c'est LA meilleure soupe de nouilles de riz que j'ai jamais mangée! Le boss, il a une technique avec les champignons… c'est du génie! C'est tellement savoureux que t'en perds les sourcils! 😆
