We visited Veranda twice during our trip because the food was that good. Every dish was flavorful, authentic, & cooked to perfection. The service was excellent, & the atmosphere was warm & inviting. If you're looking for amazing Indian cuisine in Montreal, Veranda is a must-visit. Highly recommend!✨
Absolutely loved this place! Hands down the best Indian restaurant I've been to in a long time. The dal makhani was unbelievably rich, creamy, & full of flavor - easily the best I've ever had. Every dish tasted authentic & freshly made, & the service was warm & welcoming. Can't wait to come back again!
We visited this restaurant recently during our Montreal trip. I strongly recommend this place for authentic Indian food & it was awesome. Paneer Martban is lovely & the bread is also amazing. However, we noticed that the greetings by Manager Mohit should be more welcoming than just directing for seating arrangements.
Verandah is a beautiful restaurant with an outstanding atmosphere & truly top-notch service. The staff is attentive, polite, & professional, & the ambience is elegant & relaxing-definitely one of the highlights of the experience.
The food is good overall, but it feels more blended & toned down compared to traditional Indian cuisine. The dishes lack the bold, authentic masala flavors one would normally expect from Indian food. If the restaurant advertised itself as Indo-Western or fusion cuisine, this approach would make more sense & set the right expectations.
That said, the quality, presentation, & consistency are still solid, which is why I'd rate the food 4 stars. For atmosphere & service, however, it's an easy 5 stars. A great place for a refined dining experience-especially if you enjoy milder, modern interpretations of Indian flavors.
We had a wonderful dinner at this beautiful restaurant in the Old Port area. The food was authentic & full of flavour. Both the presentation & taste were amazing, & the ambience made the whole evening feel special.
Huge compliments to the chef, Abhijay, who clearly knows his food & puts a lot of care into every dish we tried. Everything felt really well done & memorable. We will definitely visit again when we are back in Montreal.
PS: We were so busy hogging the food that we totally forgot to take pictures of the food.
The food was excellent & authentic. The staff are exceptional & friendly. The restaurant manger Maureet was welcoming supportive of the staff & genuinely interested in assuring your experience is great. The atmosphere is beautiful & you will not be disappointed.
One of the finest Indian restaurants I've been to in Canada! We went there for dinner & ordered the Dahi Poori, Martaban ka Paneer, butter roti, & garlic naan - each dish was freshly made, full of flavor, & perfectly balanced. The paneer was tender, & the gravy had a rich, authentic taste. For dessert, we tried the Gulab Jamun Profiteroles - an innovative & delightful fusion creation.
We also got to speak with the chef, who was extremely kind & clearly passionate about his craft. It was refreshing to meet someone so committed to quality & authenticity in every dish.
Veranda takes you back to your own veranda( front porch in Hindi). The staff & their hospitality made our evening really special. Food was really authentic, fresh & presented extremely well. Music was calming & soulful. We will be back for sure! P.S. their Diwali decor was perfect. Special thanks to Mohit & Jatin for a wonderful conversation & a tour of the place.
We had such a wonderful experience at this Indian restaurant in Montreal! The food was more than amazing - full of rich flavors & perfectly prepared. We ordered the Poulet Tikka Malai, Naan, & Agneau Rogan Josh, & every dish was absolutely delicious.
Our server, Anna, was so nice & friendly, which made the evening even better. Being very familiar with Indian cuisine, we can truly say this meal was outstanding & authentic. A lovely dining experience that we highly recommend!
Had an amazing dinner here today! The service was very warm & friendly. The atmosphere was great but some light Indian instrumental music would've been nice. They have a great wine selection, but some more details about the origin of the wines as well as more local wines would be good. The menu is very limited but whatever we had was delicious! The Sabudana tikki chaat was very tasty but the samosa tart was something really unexpected, amazing authentic flavors! The naans were really soft & the dal makhani was extremely creamy & tasty! Despite being pricey, it's a great option to try when you're visiting Old Montréal.
