About

Restaurant Piklìz serves authentic Haitian cuisine anchored by the vibrant heat of traditional scotch bonnet pepper condiments. The menu showcases classic island staples including crispy griot, tender oxtail, and expertly seasoned red snapper served alongside aromatic rice and beans. Plantains are prepared to a perfect golden crisp, providing a structural counterpoint to the rich, slow-cooked meat profiles defined by complex marinade blends. Fresh citrus notes and bold spices dominate each dish, emphasizing deep Caribbean flavor profiles crafted from high-quality ingredients. The interior environment remains straightforward and functional, keeping the focus entirely on the culinary output and the bold intensity of the regional seasonings. Diners experience an unapologetic exploration of Haitian culinary techniques through hearty portions that reflect the genuine spirit of traditional Caribbean comfort cooking.

Food is really good! But i really don't think the prices are worth the portion sizes. I basically got a kids portion for 23$. Higher end restaurants even have bigger portions

I’m a true Haitian so I always try to find spots that has good Haitian food. Pikliz definitely hit the spot! Their kabrit is amazing. 10/10 recommend! Also we’re from Edmonton so I was really happy to find that place

Don’t be fool with the reviews. One thing the griyo meat was 10/10. However, everything is an extra ( sauce, plantin, macaronis, pikliz) & for half the price I’ve had far better…

The extra for the sauce was ridiculous, I had approx 2 table spoon of sauce.. not enough to coat the meat nor the rice & the rice was not it, not flavourful.

Sadly I would no recommend.

My wife & I wanted to try "real" Haitian food & decide to visit this little place. We arrived at 6:30 pm & the place was packed & loud. No one greeted us & after waiting a few minutes I asked a waiter how long it'll take to get us a table. She said she didn't know & didn't have a waiting list. We asked if we could seat outside & she said yes. After waiting another 10 minutes without even bothering to serve us water I went back inside & asked for the menu. I was pointed to a QR code in a window. We waited again for someone to take our order in vain so I got up again & asked an other waiter if he could take it which he did. After a few minutes he brought our drinks (Jamaican flavoured water with no alcohol since we don't drink), which was no more than a mix of syrup with water & ice in a cardboard cup. 20 minutes later our waiter came out & I asked her about our food. She said she would look into it. Another 10 minutes passed & I went inside to ask again. The waiter went to the kitchen & came back asking me to order again since the kitchen didn't have it. I asked her to cancel it & for the check. She charged $16 dlls just for our drinks!!! I was sure it was a mistake & told her so. She just smiled & said that there was no mistake!! Didn't even apologized!! If you decide to try this place make sure you ask for an inside table & prices for whatever you ask for. & be prepared to wait over an hour to be served if at all!
