The food, offering a variety of flavors, was good, especially if you're into that kind of cuisine & enjoy sharing dishes. The decor was interesting, adding a unique but not overwhelming touch to the place. The ambiance was comfortable, but it's worth noting that the restaurant can get quite busy, so reserving a table is a good idea. The staff were friendly & provided satisfactory service. Overall, Pichai Restaurant offers a decent dining experience. It's worth a visit if you're interested in the specific type of food they serve & like a communal dining style.View more
Food is delicious. Full of favor & spicy. We splited 6 plates & none of them we didn't like.View more
Casual setting with great food! We ordered the Chicken dish, Vegan Papaya Salad, Fried Eggs with Tamarind, Vegan Panang & Lamb. We enjoyed all the dishes & ordered the Thai Tiramisu as a dessert. Didn't know a Thai version of Tiramisu existed- Glad we ordered because it was perfect amount of sweet & texture for us! We ordered the one cocktail (with Tequila) they were serving & a mocktail version of it- Was okay. Their service is good & so quick. Loved the hospitality!View more
Really great taste! & the service was perfect! Tiramisu was my favorite dessert ever! The fried banana was also great rich taste. We will MUST try all desserts!View more
Best Thai food I've had since being in southeast Asia. Got 3 menu items (the pork neck, chicken legs, & Som Tham) & for 2 people that was a lot. Came with sticky rice. Extensive wine list, but only 2 cocktails (which is cool, they're a wine bar). Food was absolutely crazy for how much you pay per person. Worth making the trip from wherever you are in Montreal.View more
View more
Fun atmosphere & warm service. Tried the pork collar with yu choy, lamb massaman, chive cakes, & fried tofu. All delicious & different than I expected!View more
A funky trendy place (busy). Great wine & service. Food was okay but given the prices it could have been much better.View more
I got to be real- I took my partner here for their birthday. The waiter working was not the most helpful, Did not have any recommendation or ideas of the spice level, & it highly impacted our experience. I have plenty of Friends & collègues who love it here. But on my end, unfortunately it was a very mediocre meal to be spending close to $300s on.View more
Thai food is one of the most fragrant & tasty cuisines on earth. This restaurant is anything but. The dumplings were soggy bland balls of mush. The porc balls were overcooked under seasoned rubber balls. The lamb was decent but by far the most expensive thing on the menu. This is a cocktail bar, not a restaurant. I guess if you’re drunk the food must taste better.View more
Had dinner there last night, the food was really flavorful, loved it. The wines however were bloody awful. One actually had a distinct nose of newsprint (I’m not exaggerating at all), & was totally undrinkable. If pairing their menu with different varieties of vinegar or cheap cooking wine is your thing then you’re in for a real treat. Too bad though because the food was very good.View more
Une cuisine extra, qualité des ingrédients, présentation, goût ! Wow.View more
Overrated, overhyped & overpriced. The food is okay, but lacks flavour, is pretentious & definitely not worth the wait. There are other smaller, cheaper & more authentic Thai places in Montreal.
This is more of a looks good on IG but doesn't taste good irl kind of place. Save your money & time & go one of the many friendlier family run businesses in the area for authentic Thai food. Disappointed.View more
Very cute vibrant decor & tasty food. I went on a Wed for dinner with a friend & the restaurant was bustling. Our favorite dish was the tapioca dumplings, it was unlike anything we've tried before & it was delicious.View more
Vibe is great but the food is NOT; this is the type of "thai" cuisine that has been overly adapted to Western interpretation.View more
I will remember the meal I had at Pichai for a long time I think. & thanks to the chef for using a good amount of chilis. It’s not real Thai food without it.View more
One of the better Thai food places I’ve tried in Canada. Most of the dishes were great, but the corn salad & sausage dish really fell flat. Drinks were a little watered down, & the food was a tad pricey for what it was. Definitely worth the visit, but personally did not live up to the hype for me.View more
