One of the better Thai food places I’ve tried in Canada. Most of the dishes were great, but the corn salad & sausage dish really fell flat. Drinks were a little watered down, & the food was a tad pricey for what it was. Definitely worth the visit, but personally did not live up to the hype for me.View more

The food was really disappointing especially for the price. I had the green curry special & it was so oily. The sauce had a decent flavour but nothing mind blowing. It was like the vegetables & meat couldn’t hold the flavour because the sauce was so oily it just slid off. & the beef was also very fatty & hard to chew. The prices were outrageous.The veg red curry took on a strange flavour the more it sat. The tamarind egg were so underwhelming basically just a soft boiled egg. The papaya salad was our favourite but you could find something comparable at probably any Thai restaurant. Our server was very kind & the ambience was great. Ce restaurant propose une carte à des prix très élevés pour des plats à partager. On suggère 4 à 6 plats à deux, & la moyenne des plats semble se situer autour de 30$ (vu certains plats à 50$, dont un plat d'omble chevalier). Les bouteilles de vin commencent à 60$ (une seule à ce prix - moyenne autour de 85$-90$?). Bref je dis ça pour que vous sachiez à quoi vous attendre. Ça ne me poserait pas de problème si l'ambiance & le service accompagnaient les prix. Le personnel & les tables relèvent davantage d'un boui-boui que d'un lieu qui se veut sophistiqué (& on me sert mieux dans plusieurs boui-boui, j'aimerais le mentionner).
À mon avis ce n'est pas normal d'attendre 10 minutes pour recevoir le menu & un verre d'eau sur une terrasse où les tables sont séparées par moins de 30 cm & de ne même pas se faire regarder à l'accueil. J'ai posé une question à l'hôte qui ne m'a même pas répondue - car la musique était trop forte à l'intérieur pour qu'il puisse m'entendre.
La cuisine est certes bonne (mais inégale - certains plats réussis d'autres semblant encore être au banc d'essai), mais on ne passe pas un bon moment. À ce genre d'addition très salée, je préfère plein d'autres tables qui ont le service à coeur. Là-bas on a l'impression qu'on devrait s'excuser de réclamer du service. I had no expectations when I went to Pichai & was really impressed by the food. I remember the tapioca dumpling as one of my favorites but everything on their menu was delicious. If you're a group, you should definitely share & try everything. We had a really good night & a belly full of wine & Thai food.View more

Menu varié avec quelques options végétariennes à combiner pour un bon tasting. Nous avons pris un plat aux œufs marinés, des tofus aux poischiches & le curry rouge végétarien. Le service est impeccable & ils ont une petite terrasse très agréable. Shaved ice dessert était la star avec une saveur pêche avec une belle crème.View more
