Every dish from rhe mushroom toast to the kale salad to the pasta, duck & steak were superb. Id definitely go back. The smores desserts were too good we had to order two of them
I had such a lovely meal here & would definitely come back. The restaurant is beautiful inside & has a really warm & welcoming atmosphere. The interior is elegant without feeling too formal, & it made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The service was excellent from the moment we arrived. Everyone was friendly, attentive & made us feel very welcome. The staff checked in throughout the meal & were happy to answer any questions, which made the experience feel relaxed & enjoyable. I started with the salmon tartare, which was absolutely delicious. The salmon was incredibly fresh & the flavours were perfectly balanced. It was light, fresh & a great way to start the meal. For my main course, I had the pasta of the day & it was amazing. The pasta was cooked perfectly & the sauce was full of flavour. It tasted fresh & homemade, & every bite was just as good as the last. To finish, I ordered the sticky toffee pudding, which was the highlight of the meal for me. It was warm, soft & covered in a rich toffee sauce that wasn't overly sweet. It was the perfect dessert & a great way to end the evening. Overall, I had a fantastic experience. The food was excellent, the service was outstanding & the atmosphere was lovely. I would happily recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal & I'll definitely be coming back.
My dinner companion & I spent a pleasant evening at this intimate dining spot in Old Montréal, a first for both of us. The ambience was warm & welcoming, as was the greeting offered upon arrival. The lighting was subdued, & the cosy bar looked perfect for a solo diner or even a couple if intimacy was not an objective. Staff were very friendly & affable both at the bar & serving the table.
We asked our server, Lianne, for recommendations & took her advice for the three appetizers we decided to share. The Kale Caesar salad was delicious, as were both others, the Smoked Bone Marrow amd the Fish Cake. We also very much loved the Chocolate Salt Caramel Cake & Ice Cream. The bottle of Bordeaux Superiere I selected was excellent. Unfortunately, the Tomahawk steak we ordered as our main, was a disappointment. It was quite sinewy which made it difficult to cut & chew. Now, I dine out frequently, & I know that each cut of meat a restaurant procures cannot always be guaranteed to be perfect, so I don't blame them. In fact, they went above & beyond by comping our dessert as well as the Tomahawk. That was unexpected, but very much appreciated. To me, that demonstrated that they were also disappointed in not having delivered the perfect meal that evening. Their service recovery ensured that we would be left with a positive impression, which was exactly the case. I'm very happy to have discovered this venue, & I'm anxious to return. I found their prices & wine markup to be very reasonable, especially given their location. À la prochaine!

Overall really great place to eat at, worth the price. A bit dark when you first enter but your eyes will eventually adjust. Entrance doesn't look like much but the inside is amazing. Really well decorated, sort of a cabin vibe. Very comfy, I really liked the decorations, whoever designed this place I love you. Really lovely seating area, I wish I took a lot more photos so I could use it as reference in decorating my house in the future or something. Anyways, I got fish of the day, very nice, very tasty. Personally liked the chocolate(?) dessert the best. Oysters were great too their hot sauce is really good. I took some of my sister's fries that came with her burger & those were really nice too. Very crisp. Portions were nice. Service was great, nice lady, English friendly. I would definitely come back probably in winter. I feel like it would be really cozy in winter like a hidden haven tucked in a street corner haha.
Very good food in a cozy, homey setting. Would definitely recommend reservations. We didn't have any & were told we could have a table if we were able to finish in a little over an hour. Since the food took a bit to get we ended up skipping dessert & any extra drinks to try to honour that (& because the hostess was clearly anxious for us to head out & handed the waitress our check immediately after we finished our entrees) We had the bone marrow, schnitzel, & lemon risotto. My husband liked his schnitzel but said he preferred the risotto overall. The Moscow moose is really good too. If we are ever back in the area we'd consider stopping again for the friendly service & tasty food.
We are in Montreal on vacation & we were looking for the best poutine. After reading some reviews we gave this a shot. It was absolutely phenomenal. I have had many poutines but never as good as this. The gravy is a truffle gravy with some spice & Smokey flavour. We had the sticky toffee pudding for dessert which also was incredible. The service was top notch & it was a very charming atmosphere. 10/10 recommend!
An unbelievable eating experience from start to finish. The Obi King Salmon was absolutely brilliant. Be sure to get the sticky toffee with ice cream for dessert!
Our new favourite! Kat & I loved everything from the warm & cozy wood cabin ambiance to the 80s music. The food was incredible, with every mouthful a delight. Service was friendly, accommodating, & attentive. Drinks (cocktails around $15) were excellent. It's quieter before 7:30 & the entrance is a bit off the beaten path (I did not see if there's an alternative, wheelchair-accessible entrance). We walked 9km in the downtown/old Montreal core, looking for a decent place to have dinner, & ironically, this one was just behind our hotel. Like, literally right behind it. We both chose from the daily specials. Kat had the sea bass, which had a parsnip puree & seafood chowder bed. It was fantastic & she loved every bite. I had the duck with pumpkin puree & a fantastic mole sauce. Dessert was an incredible sticky toffee pudding & a mousse that Kat was very cagey about sharing, it was that good. With the two entrees & desserts, a glass of wine & four cocktails, dinner came to a little over CDN$200. Service was perfectly attentive, with water being constantly refilled, empty glasses & plates taken promptly, & friendliness as warm as the ambiance. It's our new must go-to in Montreal.
