I've been to Khmer several times in the past, mostly around the time they first opened, & I remember enjoying it quite a lot. I also recall the owners being very kind, which is why this recent visit was especially disappointing.

I had lunch for two people this time. The Soup Angkor was fine, & the fried spring rolls were also okay. Nothing remarkable, but acceptable.

Unfortunately, the rest of the meal fell short of what I remembered. The chicken wings, which I've enjoyed on previous visits, tasted over-fried & then reheated, leaving them greasy & dry. Most surprising was the rice: although the portion was generous, it was very dry & seemed stale. As someone who cooks rice at home using a simple rice cooker, I found this hard to understand, as good rice is usually very easy to get right. I only managed to eat a few bites.

The Tonkinoise soup was also quite bland. The broth, served separately (for take-out), looked & tasted mostly like water with very little depth or seasoning.
To the owners: this review is not meant to be negative for the sake of it. I truly hope you take it as constructive feedback. I've enjoyed your restaurant in the past & would love to see the quality return to what it once was.

Love the food & the fact they accommodate & prepare my food without coriander. I recommend the sandwiches (beef & chicken both yummy), fried chicken & all their meals.
I just wish there were some Lao desserts to try.

The difference between a good meal & a great meal is love. This place puts love into every dish! I can't believe this restaurant is in my hood! Exceptional food! Savoury, fresh, simple yet complex. Wishing you much deserved success!

We absolutely love this place! Very well done for the fried chicken, soups, variety of rice dishes! Khmer flavours are rare in Montreal, this friendly place is a success! Locals come here to dine too!

Didn't know this place existed till today. Friendly & fast service. Great food! Good Size portions for the price. We tried the Garlic pepper pop le khmer... Better than any pop corn chicken... The skin was still crispy even for takeout. Birds nest was very good. Also tried the beef sandwich, tonkinese soup & beef loc lac. Definitely will be back to try other stuff on the menu!

Absolutely delicious food, & it might be worth going in person to order because there were some new items that hadn't made their way to the online menu yet.

I've tried most of their food & I haven't been disappointed. The staff are always very friendly & work hard to get food out fast.

There are a few small tables to sit at, but this isn't a restaurant made for eating in. This is a takeout place, & you will see lots of Uber drivers coming in to pick bags up.
