A lot of people even it's passed lunch time. Better to make reservations. You pick up what you want to eat at the fish counter. They will prepare it for you. Tiger shrimps highly recommended. Love the octopus.
Great & fresh seafood. We had the prawns, calamari, fish & chips, tilapia & salmon. If you are a big family it's better to order per lb/kg. Highly recommend.

I recently dined at Canal Restaurant in West Island, Montreal, & it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm & inviting, with beautiful décor & a relaxing atmosphere by the water.
The service was top-notch-friendly, attentive, & knowledgeable about the menu. Every dish we ordered was delicious & beautifully presented. The seafood was incredibly fresh, the flavors were perfectly balanced, & the portions were generous. I highly recommend the grilled octopus & the seafood risotto-both were bursting with flavor!
The cocktail menu was equally impressive, with creative & well-crafted drinks that complemented the meal perfectly.
Overall, Canal Restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way. If you're looking for a perfect spot for a romantic dinner, a family gathering, or a night out with friends, this is the place to be. I'll definitely be coming back!
I had an incredibly enjoyable dining experience at Restaurant Le Canal! The dishes were absolutely delightful: the fresh seafood was cooked to perfection, especially the grilled shrimp & octopus, which were perfectly seasoned with a lovely blend of herbs & seafood flavors in every bite. The fried small fish were crispy & delicious, & the lemon added a refreshing zest. The salad was fresh & well-seasoned, offering a crisp & pleasant taste. The restaurant was clean & tidy, & the service was warm & attentive. The overall atmosphere was cozy & relaxing, making it a great choice for family dinners or gatherings with friends. Superb seafood restaurant. You select your fish & they grill or fry to your liking. Very friendly staff & welcoming owner. I drove from Toronto to try it out & it was worth the 6+ hours drive Highly recommended
The grilled octopus is absolutely phenomenal! I also had the tiger shrimps, & the salad/sauce on the bottom tasted like heaven. Highly, highly recommend this place!
