À grand hôtel, grand restaurant. Le restaurant La Quintessence vous propose, dans un environnement confortable et chaleureux, une expérience gastronomique hors du commun. La haute cuisine de notre chef réputé, qui se fait un plaisir de mettre en valeur les produits régionaux, a valu au Quintessence la cote Quatre Diamants, décernée conjointement par le CAA et l'AAA ; seulement 30 établissements, dans tout le Québec, ont mérité une telle reconnaissance.
Les avis sur La Quintessence mettent en valeur une ambiance élégante et une vue imprenable sur le lac, mais la constance culinaire varie selon les expériences. Certains saluent un service attentif et des accords vins et cocktails réussis, avec des plats et des desserts appréciés qui témoignent d'une créativité certaine. D'autres se disent déçus par le rapport qualité-prix, par des plats peu savoureux ou autour d'un menu petit déjeuner modifié, l'avoine ayant été retirée au profit d'un pudding au chia et un granola peu nourrissant. Plusieurs critiques évoquent des plats mal préparés ou mal assaisonnés, des erreurs de commande et une impression de désorganisation, parfois compensée par un service qui demeure agréable. Néanmoins, lorsque tout est en ordre, les repas peuvent être excellents, avec des propositions audacieuses et une terrasse magnifique offrant une atmosphère romantique au coucher du soleil et une sélection de vins remarquable, et des expériences considérées comme les meilleures par certains visiteurs. Dans l'ensemble, La Quintessence peut offrir des moments mémorables mais le niveau de satisfaction varie et le rapport qualité-prix peut paraître élevé lorsque les saveurs ne correspondent pas à l'investissement.
Beautiful place. Service was very good. I had the Halibut which was excellent. Only reason for 4 stars is I find it hard to justify 70$ for a fish plate.
We went twice to eat dinner, & once for breakfast. The breakfast was delicious, mostly the croissant, but failed the hot chocolate. I still definitely recommend to enjoy it during your stay at the hotel. The dinner though was disappointing these two occasions. The dishes are original in terms of protein & combinations, but lack of flavour & richness. I don't recommend dining there for the price of it. The bar has a handful options of mocktails. Made in front of us, they were quite tasty. The view is nice over the lake, & well setup in a low light ambiance. The service was nice (mostly at the bar), even though they forgot us at the bar for half an hour after preparing our table.

An absolutely beautiful spot at Tremblant. The service was very good front of house & in the restaurant, with the only thing that could be better was the empty room service items sitting outside our room when we arrived after checking in. It was there far too long until we placed it by the elevator & the next morning it was gone. We shared the prime rib for dinner, which was amazing. The only feedback is that there could have been more side of asparagus...they were very thin & simply not enough for two people. Atmosphere is very nice, with easy access to the Tremblant village. My only feedback here would be to limit the ability to stake an all day claim to the very limited number of chez lounges by placing an item on the chair. You'll encounter the same thing at the all inclusive resorts down South, but here there is a very limited number of chez lounges & there is an attendant that could easily put a stop to the practice. Overall, I think this is an amazing spot at Tremblant.

Nous avons passé une soirée romantique mémorable! Un repas fluide & un service remarquable, accompagnés de plats frais, délicieux & visuellement attrayants. Le tout passé dans une ambiance plutôt intime lors d'une des fameuses soirées musicales du restaurant où nous avons pu apprécié les voix mélodieuses de TandEm'. Un petit diamant qui vaut très le certainement le détour!

It was an absolutely wonderful meal. The ambiance alone is worth it, it's probably the coziest & chicest place on the mountain. They had their own cocktail creations the Indiana was amazing as was their Duck Duo, so fun & yummy! The service was Extraordinary, everyone worked as a team & we never lacked for attention. Being near a fire place & the wonderful lounge chairs was just the class you want on a night out.
Amazing dinner, the food was delicious, so much flavour, from starter to the dessert. The cocktails were wonderful ( just the glass was a little small) , service & atmosphere great will definitely go back! They give us extra macaron for the bday celebration 🎉! Recommended 💯

Splendide !!! Que dire d'autre alors que nous avons passé un séjour de 4 nuitées le plus merveilleux qui soit dans cet établissement : accueil, service, qualité & décoration des chambres (y compris une excellente literie), emplacement avec une vue incroyable, & même un très bon restaurant (déjeuner, dîner & souper). Un véritable 5 étoiles avec un bon rapport qualité prix dans un environnement féerique. Un grand merci à l'ensemble du personnel pour toute l'attention portée durant notre séjour.
This review is specifically for the garden level executive suite. This was the second time we stayed at the Quintessence. The first time was magical! We had a classic suite & the experience couldn't have been more positive. It was such a positive experience that we decided to make this an annual trip. Fast forward to December 2023, we decided to upgrade our room since this trip was also for our honeymoon. When we arrived, we were very disappointed. We found that the executive garden level suite is not an upgrade from the classic suite, but instead a downgrade. It is in the back corner of the hotel overlooking the parking lot with an obstructed lake view. We requested to have our room moved several times, even switching back to a classic suite even though we paid for the "upgrade". We also offered to move after our first night since there were classic suites available starting on day 2 of our trip, which they did not allow. This was such an unfortunate experience that could have been avoided if the room was not advertised as an "upgrade", or if we were allowed to switch rooms. I strongly suggest adding a disclaimer to this room type &/or proactively alerting guests who have stayed at the hotel previously that this room type is not an upgrade. On a positive note, the doormen & restaurant staff were exceptional! The spa services were also top notch. If not for the challenges with the room type, we wouldn't have any hesitation booking another year at the Quintessence.

THIS IS OUR FIRST STAY IN THIS HOTEL. IN A WORD, IT'S REALLY AMAZING PLACE JUST FEEL LIKE HOME. VERY CLEAN & COMFORTABLE PLACE TO STAY. SOURINDING VIEWS FROM THE ROOM & BALCONY ARE REALLY INCREDIBLE. THANKS TO ALL STAFF IN THIS HOTEL WHO REALLY WORK HARD TO MAKE OUR STAY MORE COMFORTABLE.
We love the Quintessence! We have been coming for our wedding anniversary every year for the last 7 years! It is just incredible & we look forward to continuing our tradition for many years to come. The hotel is wonderfully romantic & relaxing!
Stayed in the Clagett's Cabin just outside the hotel for our anniversary this weekend. Highly recommend! Front desk & door service were very kind & helpful throughout our stay, not to mention the breakfast was excellent. Cabin is right beside the hotel but nice & secluded for a little privacy. Rustic, but offers all the modern amenities. Great view of the water!
