Arriving late in Montreal we needed a meal. Found La Mer Rouge nearby & had really nice grilled fish & shrimp. Very friendly, reasonable prices, lots of flavor!
The best seafood I had so far. Fresh fish perfect spices generous portions. Excellent service. They make food like my moma. I found my go to place for seafood, I can't wait to try more things.I had the red snapper with fries & fish & chips with bass fish so flavorful. 😋

I had an amazing experience at this seafood restaurant in Montreal. It's honestly one of the best I've ever eaten at. The servers were welcoming, attentive, & made the whole meal feel special. The food was outstanding - the calamari was perfectly cooked, & the grilled fish was incredibly fresh & full of flavour. I'm already looking forward to going back!
The food was delicious, the owner is very cute & the service was impeccable. Fish is very tasty, I am so full & will be back for sure. New favorite spot in town! Yummy! Bonus point for the bidet.
Excellent fish & seafood cooked in the Egyptian style. Casual & family style. Great service. Leave room for dessert as well. Their Oum Ali is amazing. Owner Ibrahim is very attentive to details.
I was looking for grilled fish like I had in Bali. I found this place & I could not be happier! I had the Sea Bass (Lou de Mer) with rice & a can of ice cold gingerale. Food came out perfect & quickly too. Very fresh fish. No fuss, no hidden charges, very reasonably priced. Great staff. I'm coming back with more people next time. Thank you!!!
I really enjoyed the food. The fish tasted very fresh just like the fish I have in Egypt. The calamari was very tasty as well. I will come back & recommend this place to my friends
It is one of the best fish restaurants in Montreal, the fish & shrimp were fresh, the spices were great. The service is good & the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend it
Food was gorgeous fresh prawns & fish was A1 hygenic environment. I cannot leave without saying thank you to Hanan who had great hospitality with us always cheerful young lady . Highly recommend. Will come again & again.
The food is always good, honestly. I just don't like to dine in because it smells fishy, but of course, it's fish, so it will smell fishy. I love the food, though, & we always drive far to get here
Real nice service & reception from the staff. The food was great with salad, soup, spiced rice, octopus, fried calamari & fish, grilled fish. Very clean & hospitable place. I recommend
At first guy at the counter seemed a bit grumpy & impatient (I think he's the owner) but after talking to him more times he seemed nicer. The lady server (it seemed she's his wife) was always super nice.
Tasty salad & fries, crunchy delectable fish. Calamari was on point & the garlic shrimp & octopus were awesome too.
Overall experience in the end I'd give 6 stars if I could. Fast, good service with really great good. Will definitely come back. :)
