The best seafood I had so far. Fresh fish perfect spices generous portions. Excellent service. They make food like my moma. I found my go to place for seafood, I can't wait to try more things.I had the red snapper with fries & fish & chips with bass fish so flavorful. 😋

I had an amazing experience at this seafood restaurant in Montreal. It's honestly one of the best I've ever eaten at. The servers were welcoming, attentive, & made the whole meal feel special. The food was outstanding - the calamari was perfectly cooked, & the grilled fish was incredibly fresh & full of flavour. I'm already looking forward to going back!
First time here & the food was great! I had the shrimp tempura & it was nice & fresh, the shrimp & the potatoes were super crisp. We also had the fried calamari, so good! The owner is super nice & friendly, he even lowered the music so we could talk more :) Everything on the menu is affordable, we'll be back!
Went for lunch with colleagues. Was a pleasant surprise. Excellent seafood - fresh & tasty. Made from the heart. Run by a Egyptian man. Highly recommend! Great place for a group lunch - has cozy booth for 10-12 people.
wooow La Mer Rouge is the definition of ; Do Not Judge The Book By The Cover. Amazing Food amazingly surprised by the savor of fresh sea food. Best Mediterranean Cuisine in Montreal so far for me. You have to try it once at least for real, plus the restaurant is very cozy & charming with decoration that reflect the name. I liked there & really enjoyed the food. Nice Chef!!!

I was looking for grilled fish like I had in Bali. I found this place & I could not be happier! I had the Sea Bass (Lou de Mer) with rice & a can of ice cold gingerale. Food came out perfect & quickly too. Very fresh fish. No fuss, no hidden charges, very reasonably priced. Great staff. I'm coming back with more people next time. Thank you!!!
I really enjoyed the food. The fish tasted very fresh just like the fish I have in Egypt. The calamari was very tasty as well. I will come back & recommend this place to my friends
It is one of the best fish restaurants in Montreal, the fish & shrimp were fresh, the spices were great. The service is good & the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend it

Food was gorgeous fresh prawns & fish was A1 hygenic environment. I cannot leave without saying thank you to Hanan who had great hospitality with us always cheerful young lady . Highly recommend. Will come again & again.
This has always been a seafood lover's hidden gem. Not a lot of people know that they probably have the best calamari in MTL. Rayan's is delicious, but they certainly have the best spices & much better fried seafood there is than other seafood restaurants. The shrimp & calamari are the go to, they are crispy & super fresh!
