Visiting Montreal & started our trip off with an incredible meal at Restaurant Kamúy!

The cocktails were fantastic, especially the Mezcal cocktail. Shared 4 appetizers amongst our group of 4. The Tomato Salad, Pork Griot & Fried Chicken with Caviar were all so flavourful.

Will absolutely be back!

One of my favourite restaurants in the city. The Espresso Martini Créole is so delicious, the djon djon... everything! You can't go wrong eating here.

We made a reservation an hour before for 10pm, surprisingly the kitchen was still open & they were very accommodating. We ordered four entrees & four drinks respectively. I got the jerk chicken with wild rice & a creole spritz, & I don't know if it was the fatigue from the day or eating dinner at an ungodly hour, but that was probably the best jerk chicken I've ever had. The chicken was juicy, flavorful, & the sauce exquisite. I also thoroughly enjoyed the spritz. For the quality & the quantity, it was certainly worth the price. Would recommend if you're ever in Montreal.

Je tente de rentrer en contact depuis 1 semaine avec quelqu'un afin de recevoir une information qui ne se retrouve pas sur votre site. Ma mère voulait inviter des amis pour une expérience culinaire suite à une recommendation que je lui ai fait. Elle voulait payer d'avance ou savoir si possible de prendre une carte cadeau ou voir comment elle pouvait s'arranger.
Ma mère a appeler en trois fois; appels qui qui sont restés sans réponse (elle a laissé un message vocale qui est resté sans retour aussi malgré avoir laissé son nom, numéro de téléphone & raison de son appel).

De plus, je me suis rendu au restaurant en personne dimanche le 5 juillet 2026 à 19h20 pour me rendre contre que le restaurant était fermé malgré que l'horaire indique que vous devriez être ouvert de 17h00 à 22h30. Aucune affiche sur la porte ou en ligne indique une fermeture ou une raison particulière pour ce changement.

Je trouve cette expérience très décevante sachant que j'avais personnellement fait la recommendation pour Kamuy & tenait à ce qu'ils puissent tous vivre une belle expérience dans votre établissement.

Ce soir-là, j'étais davantage inspirée par les tapas, & je n'ai absolument pas regretté d'avoir suivi mon intuition. Les acras, le ceviche & le griot étaient tous délicieux. Cela dit, le véritable coup de coeur de la soirée a été le ceviche de loup de mer : d'une fraîcheur remarquable & parfaitement équilibré, il était tout simplement exquis. Une expérience gourmande que je referais sans hésiter!

It was our first time at Kamúy & it did not disappoint.
We started with the virgin mojito, & wow, one of the best mojitos we've ever had. Minty & just the right amount of lemon.
For our supper we had the grilled fish, the jambalaya at the fries plantains.
The fish was very well cooked & seasoned. I highly suggest it.
The jambalaya was a bit different than what I expected, but it had plenty of seafood & it was also very well seasoned.
The fried plantains were good, but we were a bit disappointed by the quantity they give.

Amazing Carribean food. Would recommend the Jerk Chicken, Conch, & Pork Griot with fried plantains. Memorable taste, & well executed. One very minor point was that its not easy to eat: the utensils are a bit small, & we ended up mixing food from one plate with the sauces or garnishes from another, & the jerk sauce was very salted so that dictates how much you should add... but ee figured it out & had an amaxing meal. The mocktaila were also well made.

I would recommend the most: get the conch as an entree to share.
