Some of our food was good, some was not great.
Atmosphere is cramped & loud, there were flies flying around inside the restaurant. It's a nice spot & a nice place, just felt like they could improve here. The servers were nice, but they were very slow, they checked on us once to see if we liked the food, but then never came back to bring us more water or to see if we wanted dessert or anything.
We had the Tomato salad, Ceviche, Fried chicken, Jerk Chicken, Griot & Grilled fish as well as 5 cocktails.
The fried chicken was delicious, the Griot was some of the best in Montreal, but the jerk chicken was horribly dry, the chicken was TINY, it felt like I was eating quail.
The Jerk chicken is 25$ on the menu, but after getting home & looking at my receipt, they charged us 32$ per portion (we ordered two portions to share).
The grilled fish was supposed to be 40$, they charged us 45$.
We were also charged 2$ more per drink than what was priced on the menu.
The bill for 4 people ended up over 325$ (before tip) with 5 drinks, a bottle of soda water, 4 appetizers & 3 mains.
For the price, the experience we had was not worth it.
Food was good.
The place is a bit small, so reservation is recommended.
Server was a bit forgetful, but everyone was nice.
Update July 2025: there can be a wait for their bathroom as one is broken. Also, during festival season after 7pm, they only have a 70$ menu option. The terasse is great during festival season, though it can be difficult to hear each other if you want to talk
We were there for the jazz fest performance at 7:30, a perfect location & we were happily surprised at the quality of the food, drinks & service as we had never been before. Every dish had its own special taste but the hummus for me was wonderfully different. Service was friendly & accommodating. I would definitely return. Thanks for a wonderful evening.

I was disappointed with the food at this restaurant. I ordered the chicken, but it turned out to be a small, bony bird that was clearly reheated - part of the meat was even cool. It felt overpriced for what I got. I also specifically asked for my food not to be spicy, but the rice that came with the dish was spicy enough to make me sweat - definitely not what I expected. I wanted to order a beer, but they were out, & the server offered me a cocktail'similar to beer.' Unfortunately, it was just rum with soda & lime, & I didn't enjoy it at all. That one's partly my fault for not asking what was in it, but overall the experience was underwhelming.
